back to the feeney medal talk, after saturdays game surely there is a bull who must be up there in favouritism with lance and andrews - cliffy ryan. obviously didn't see boort v charlton but if lance didn't play and boort won, surely for this round cliff would have gained 3 votes to the other two 0. i know its only one round, but he's kicked a number of bags??

i have another point of view... he kicked 8 in the first half, and his opponent was changed, and then could only manage 1 in the 3rd quarter (with the wind) and 2 in the last (one after the siren) could it be at all possible, that Jess Douglas gets a vote for his work on a guy who is obviously in top form?

im not much of a fan of giving forwards 3's....afterall, someones gotta get it too them!!!

something to ponder

Re: North Central Football League

Just a note, if donald are gonna take away all 4 ever AGAIN in the near future, this year would have to be their best bet!!! with the entire club only losing 2 games for the season so far

they should have no problems in the U 14's, U 16s will be a great match...id say between St Arnaud and Donald reserves should be good, id say either Charlton or St Arnaud against Donald, and Seniors will cap off a great days footy, with id say Boort vs Donald

you have some good points. just brought up the cliffy discussion to see what other people think of his chances, as my point of view is probably a bit biased. i think he will benefit from the fact that a lot of the goals he kicks are "flashy" and other bulls that we thought might "take votes from him" have dropped off recently.

Re: North Central Football League

Agree there, of his 95 goals, would i be correct in saying 30+ of them are 'flashy'? (which may contribute to the amount of behinds hes kicked lol

Re: North Central Football League

Well you have finally done it master of roc, except for the reply from Greysong you have managed to fill a whole page of Big Footy dribble by yourself - i think a huge congrats is in order. Hip Hip Hooray!!!!:thumbsu:

Re: North Central Football League

ill skip right over the sarcasm... for 1, there are 15 posts to a page, and since my first one, ive posted a total of 13 (not including htis one) so basically...WRONG

other than that... ive had 2 posts where i have willingly edited the details out, in order to keep peace... and the rest are in reply to a question to which someone has asked either myself, or the thread as a whole... thus the term 'dribble' is inaccurate :D

dropping heath would be hurting even more now for st araund. Al Morris ex Boort coach who is now at pyramid hill also featured in the best for that game and in a few other games aswell. great ruck man just lacked a lot as a coach.

also james coastworth who won the league b&f last yr playign for wyche featured in the best players for queensland. wyche could do with him this year.

St A Def B/W last week....with a pretty lacklustre side (we had 4 under 16s, and 3 guys that havent played in a month or 2)
not to mention lloyd out, and S Needs out too

and charlton bet a pretty similar side last week.... i think, whoever makes the finals out of St Arnaud and Charlton, will end up taking on Donald in the GF

Who did the bulls have out???

Re: North Central Football League

but their senior side had a win on the weekend, dont be surprised to see the 4 odd guys cme back to the senior lineup, and lee/sheehan to head back to the 2's next week

regular seconds players not playing in the 2's versus st arnaud on saturday included -

andrew lee, jim sheahan, daniel boyle, josh koops, billy noonan, terence young, ank russell, liam o'donnell.

possibly a couple more out injured too that i can't think of. all year we have had people miss out on seconds games but on saturday we had a couple of under 16s as well as mick foott pulling on the boots again to add another game to his tally that i think is over the 400 mark.

Sheehan and Lee were the only real notables (playing Seniors)

Andrew Lee and Jimmy Sheehan are two very handy players in the twos! They both played against St. Arnaud last time, and well they won by 10 Goals Birchip will be up there in September.

But kicking a bag doesn't necessarily mean 3 votes. I remember one year a bloke kicked 16 and i think he only got the one vote. But then again if Cliffy kicks a bag, he will sometimes kick a few points as well. Should be interesting to see how the umpires see it.

Mate, six great games has won a few feeneys in the past, no?

Donald v Wyche. By a record margin. Don't be surprised if young Bradley Michael kicks half a dozen...

Braddles Michael named in the two's and could quite possibly kick ten !! Unsure of the wyche side but a matchup that would be interesting to see would be between Rohan Brown and Zachary White in the ruck. Hopefully at some stage they go head to head!!
The crowd at donald on the weekend were a little shattered with the great match up of brown v white in the ruck not eventuating! another exciting match up would have been young keane n hawkes (only hawkes was playin in the twos this week)...these two would have been able to show the crowd there blistering pace, with many people claiming them to be aaron davey-like. what a pity we weren't able to witness such a spectacle

Birchip: too small
Boort: not too bad, seen worse and better
Charlton: too far away,
Donald: too small
St Arnaud: biggest other than wyche and charlton (but charltons too far away)
Wedderburn: smallish
Wyche: not too bad, but if i recall, the seating comes out not far from the wall....and trainers benchwes are too high

Charlton too far away??? What the ****. It is the north central muscles, we have to travel less than an hour to every club. How lucky are we. Birchip will hold great finals, whyche is great. Why doesn't some money get pumped into the facilities, ie grass roots, and not into lance and funkes bank balances. Get hot showers, make sure they aren't too small. What, donald is too small? charlton is too far away, the burn is too small, whyche are alright, boort are average, but what, the two headed st arnaud are perfect. Please remove head from rear in future comments!

mayb wen it is a more even comp but i'd say it'd be quite hard to win it this year off 6 great games....picioane and andrews will poll votes in just about all there games with the majority being 3's and 2's
