They ran with Donald pretty well for the most part last week..... quote]

Are you for real ?? They busted their a$$3$ in the first quarter to get a 2 goal lead then donald ran all over top of them in the next two quarters and cruised home in the last while the bulls may have matched them in the last 25 mins the game was well and truly over by then ! And in september you cant match a side for 25 mins of a game and expect to win !! Any bloke who kicks over 100 goals in a season will have an influence on the game even if he doesnt kick a goal he will still take the best defender and if he doesnt get near the footy that defender most likely wont get near it either. This week against charlton if Tim Hill is that defender i'd say birchip/watchem would be quite happy for Cliff to sit in the goalsquare and take Tim Hill out of the play, because if he starts to run out of the backline it can be very damaging !!

Donald must be looking very good, are those horsham fellas getting a kick now? Was disappointed in them when i watched, big fairies. Wonder if the wimmera fellas can handle the rough and tough north central, as not many have been able to. I find donald suspect, especially funky squad, those three donald players, and any overweight forwards that they pick. Funckes brother will turn it on, no doubt, so watch out all you sixteen year olds out there. We all saw what he did at donald against the bulls in the first round. Feel free to wear your motorbike helmets fellas, and tuck in those kidneys, the dirty old man and his assassins will only target the little fellas.

Fricken donald. I hope charlton, birchip-watchem and boort fight out the finals. We need a Rangi in our team, but we will all see what happens very shortly.

Bombers to beat western bulldogs tonight by 40 plus points. any thoughts?

They might be capable of doing it, but why would they want to??? They lose the priority pick if they win which in this draft could be very important

:)
Finals time is great. Next week will be a cracker game. Boort's trump card Bartram has flown under the radar this year, he will give the Funcks something to chase.

And does anyone know how Matt Rice went for the rebels last week? Is he playing this week? Will he play for Boort next week?

Perfect result for us. Lucas kicking eight, going with the bullies for most of the match. Some kids got a kick. Bring on next year.

The 'aker clause' may come into effect. With the fourth youngest list in the afl, and some quality kids to join, am sure a brownlow medallist, triple premiership, running, goal kicking midfield will come into play if we can afford him. It would be great.

Looking forward to international rules series in croke park, anyone know who is picked? any info on it?

True true bombers... was a good result for the bombers... showed they could match it with the doggies without really wanting to win it... They have kicked some high scores of late...

But anyway good luck for all those playing today... hopefully the weather will be good (if it won't rain it might as well be good weather)

Doesnt say much for your shambles of a side who is led by an undisciplined whinger when they have been smacked 3 times this year by a side who apparently has a coach that is no good, 4 horsham blokes who are soft, fat forwards and an old bloke that goes around belting kids !! Anyway after todays game i dont think we'll see anymore of Birchip/Watchem this year. Charlton should account for them easily !!

Re: North Central Football League

Obviously lost a week's worth of quality posts...

So who was at the games today to give me a run down...

Donald won in the U14's over Charlton

Donald smashed St Arnaud in the u16's... St Arnaud 3 points... What the???

Birchip got up over Donald in the twos...

Still waiting on the senior result...

Simple answer to "what the???" they played like crap....lol thats all can be said.... i noticed Levi Berry was 'doubleteamed' as was Ian Moerman, and they played with an extra 2 in the backline on top of that

Re: North Central Football League

Mmm senior game... 13 point margin to Boort...

Two reports..

Leigh Picioane (Boort) reported for striking Aaron Rhodes (Donald) during the third quarter, Reported by field umpire Dean Goodridge and emergency umpire David Webb. Aaron Rhodes (Donald) reported for striking Leigh Picioane (Boort) during the third quarter, reported by field umpire Dean Goodridge and emergency umpire David Webb. Gate at the game was $8594.00...

Yea, left with 5 mins to go tho, had to get back to my nans @ donald... pretty good to watch, esp the above :) who was it taken out early in the first? nice hard tackle by lance i think it was..nothing in it, stretchered off and taken to Hosp.

Good day of football actually, great to see a huge crowd on the hill, gate is down to that in donald, id say the Weather played a big part (that and they were charging some kids entry in donald....) look for a pretty big crowd also next week (get there early if u dont want to park 40+meters back in the paddock on the far side)

Re: North Central Football League

wonder if leigh took the 1 week immediately!? doubt it, will have cost a game in the big one...

Scenario: Both get 1 week... Rhodes misses prelim, plays in GF if they get there, Leighs finished...... hmmm interesting haha!

So are you saying donald played with a ten man backline roc. Where were their st arnaud opponents.

no, as St Arnaud werent playing a 6 man forward line, this was countered a few times during the game, but reversed again also, good coaching bu Jacob & Marc...

No game in the last 2 weeks isn't the best 'warm up' for finals either...so the game again this week will be very handy, providing they come out injury free

I didn't see the incident, but to get reported by two umpires... Who knows... Maybe the tribunal will give both a suspended sentence...

Re: North Central Football League

maybe, but then theres the argument "why didn't i get a suspended suspension"

there would HAVE to be some sort of precedent they are bound by... i dunno, we will find out soon enuf

if they are both given a suspended sentence it sends a message to the bulls and donald next week - king hit whoever you want and you'll still be available for the grand final cos the tribunal will only give you a suspended sentence.

Well then looks like that one bloke will miss the grand final and the other will miss the prelim then...

I'd query "king hit", Leigh's was more a swinging high tackle while Rhodes's was retaliation. Neither were hurt.

And what was that crap about charging kids in an earlier post at the Donald game?? The blokes at the gate get constantly hassled by " I'm just working in the canteen" but no kids who are under 16 get charged.

Gutsy win by the pies and now sit back and watch the carnage next week

Re: Leigh/Rhodes incident.... same incident, same time, same umpires reported them, chances are that it will be the same result at the tribunal

My sister and her friend (playing U16s netball) were both charged at donald... not sure if it was a 1 off, or the gatesman was just stupid, but it happened....how do i know? the cash came from my pocket....

was good win by the Boort guys, on a **** day (weather wise)

Coleman Anderson. broken tibia, and tore the ligaments in his ankle off the bone. operation this morning had screws inserted in his leg. if rhodes misses this week also, then donald will lose a lot of toughness in the backline with himself and coleman out

No good for Coleman at all, very tough player who will be missed....

PS.. Ablett at the moment i'm watching the 1989 Grand Final..Charlton Vs Boort... I think the commentators did say it was Kevin Cooke (was that who you thought it was) who got taken out at the first bounce, by the Boort Ruckman Peter Hynes...
