Yeah they could well have recruited a few back to cover there losses (but I doubt they would cover the Picioanes and A Rutley).

But how are you to know what other clubs have in the pipeline? The same rebuttal can be said by any club!

Boort have to cover 4 players ..4 very good players, and the recruits may well be up to it, i would rather be in boorts position having to cover a few losses than be in donalds, how are they going to go covering the loss of 10 plus players..and where are wedderburn going to find the extra 10 goals a game they were behind last year, and where are st arnaud and wychy going to find the 20 goals they were behind last year?? Boort have the foundations to be a threat again this year ..other teams dont.

Troy Ferrier, put in a clearance from hepburn to play for boort this year? Does anyone konw how he goes?

I see your point, but. . . did any other club rely so heavily on 4 players like boort did?

20 goals doesn't mean you need another 20 good players.

You've only been around Boort for a few years I'm presuming. Before you came along, Boort were beaten week in, week out by 15 + goals easily by the club's your bagging Donald, Saints and Wychy. These three are the Top 3 in the league from the past twenty or so years, so I would never discount them as you never that what you'll get from them year in, year out. If you class Troy Ferrier to cover one of these losses, you have got to be kidding yourself! He is by no means near the standard of the Picioanes/Rutley's.

As for Donald losing 10 or so players, Clark hasn't lodged a clearance yet so he could well line up for them just yet. I'm sure you Boort folk would love to see him tear you up again! They only need another 4-5 GOOD players and they will easily be finals contenders. St Arnaud and Wychy are probably in the same boat, great local talent but no stars to help them along (not much we can say about Boort's local talent eh?)

not bagging them , just making a statement that Boort are in healthier positions than those mentioned clubs!! cant be ****ed with you anymore ..see you round 1..actually you'll be seeing me cos i'm quite sure you are a 2s player

I think Ablett has gone quiet because there is no point in arguing with people on here. At the moment the 2 Picioanes are all they have lost. They have picked up a couple that I heard of a few months back at a party and I would assume they would have got a few more so I would think they would still slot into the finals. We will wait and see. I'm happy to throw $50 on though mate and we will sort out payment at the end of the year!

Maybe hated by Boort, but I'm just trying to put you back in your box. You all seem to think you've won the Grand Final already. Deja Vu eh?

Are you the enforcer on the football field? Or just one of those bloke's that are full of it?

Why don't you Boort people go win a premiership, or just try buy one like last year ;)

This is where I disagree. As much I am not a Boort fan, what other club in the league in the last few years could say that they had a spine (other than Lance in the middle) made up of local talent:

FB: Cooney CHB: WIlson C:Lance (not local) CHF:Nelson FF:perryman

even in 07 with the loss of a couple,

FB: Cooney CHB:Nelson C:A Parker??? CHF:Gooding FF: Perryman

This is why Boort may not be far away. Other clubs find it hard to recruit big blokes, Boort seems to have a few, just need some on ballers. On of this year spine as mentioned would easily get a game in any other senior NC side. Maybe this is their year??

Could you tell me when you last watched a game? You have named four local players (Gooding has been hopeless for years, Perryman has never been the same since hurting his back). They seem to fall away alot from those players, this was proved in September last year! You've got to remember there are 14 other blokes on the field and it takes a team effort to win a premiership!

as well as T Barry, N Parker, Bugs Chalmers, S Grosse, G stringer,M Rice..all played in the grand final..pretty sure thats more home grown blokes than Donald and most

Than most? I doubt it very much!

Stringer, Chalmers, Barry would not have got a game in Donald's premiership team.

Whether Boort has depth or not shall be seen after 18 rounds of football in 2007!
Whether Boort will make the finals or not will be known after 18 rounds of football!

That's your opinion and your certainly entitled to it, but do you think you are going to convince each other to change your opinion by bagging each other.

Give facts. eg. departures, arrivals and state your opinion from that. Then let others make up their mind on what they think. And let the case rest.

If new information comes to hand then by all means throw it in the rink but until then, GET OVER IT.

Good luck to Boort trying to cover their losses and if they happen to make the finals they have done an exceptional job.

Both Donald and Boorts sides in 2006 were very good and I don't think this years Premiers will be as strong as last years so they might not have to cover all their losses.

HOW can you Judge the position a club is in before the season starts??

When the season starts,and clearances are all but finalised, then judging can start... whats to say that St Arnaud/Charl..etc haven't got big "ring in" names still in the works :)

You can look at a side all you want to on paper, but until the forwards start kicking goals, ruckmen win taps, midfielders get clearances...."on paper" means nothing

the fact that boort have to cover 4 players, donald 10 plus.. starnaud and wychy pretty much have to go from scratch

fair come back too..clap clap for the handicapped? fat pig ..maybe you can come to training one night so we can run laps around you!!! that will get the boys nice and fit!!

u were warned about ur crap a few days ago...didn't take long, i just can't wait for the ban! Then we can start talking football on here again

Sorry i meant to put $550 - what Ricky Allens getting. Goodluck to him could have played major league but sacrificed his own development to put his town and club first, Inspirational stuff... I know Im Inspired....

Don't think he is playing this year, sore him out a few days ago in Mildura he is as fat as mud, he was too fat and slow when he was ment to be fit anyway. He thinks Birchip will go alright this year anyway.
