Re: Nth Gippsland Football League p2

It's got to be true. I heard it at my brothers 30th on Saturday night at about 12:30 at night after 20 pots, so absolutely no reason to doubt the accuracy of it. Mayhem 202 was there as well, although was in a similar state to me, so may not remember it too clearly.

Re: Nth Gippsland Football League p2

I heard a rumour that Jay Neagle might be at Cowwarr next year. No idea how much truth there is to it, but going from AFL to North Gippy would be a massive comedown. Staz and Neagle would be near on unstoppable.

Neagle was a VFL player just. And that was only because he was listed as AFL player.

Re: nth gippsland football league 2012

Premiers 2012? Rosedale

Ladder positions? Rosedale, Cowwarr, Churchill, Glengarry, Sale City, Heyfield, TTU, Boisdale, Gormandale, Woodside

League b&f? Adrian Cox tied with Josh King

Coach of the year? Damien Birss

Biggest improvers? Rosedale

Which teams will slide? Glengarry and City

Wooden spoon? Woodside

Sale City have lost Stefan Mapleson who has moved away, Rod Mcginness has retired. Lutze is having a knee reco and wont play this year. Mclay is in doubt because of work/changing clubs and Josh Tollner isn't playing at this stage. If they lose all of them expect them to slide.

Dropped into Gormy training tonight. Surprised by the numbers, with about 35-40 on the track, but there wasn't much in the way of recognisable senior talent. Likely bottom 3 in 2012.

what about glen who have picked up or lost, do you still have anything to do with them?
Different bloke. I don't have an association with Glen. I formally had a stellar career with Gormy, mostly in the 2's, as a very unaccountable defender, who made Joel Bowden look like a close checking tagger. Social member at Tigerland is as close i get to the action these days.

Be pretty boring to be a close checking backmen in the twos I reckon!

As for glen heard they have lost a fair few!

what are peoples number like at training ?

Heyfield have been getting 25+ the majority (90%) have been from regular senior players which is encouraging. A very young group this year but its good to see the enthsiasm showing through.

40 a week at Churchill, jut not the same nights!

Brown not much value for 25k considering he is Melbourne's forwards coach so will be limited in his games I would imagine.

Already 11 trying to leave Gormie according to the North Gippy website, they going to have anyone left?

They won't be the basket case people are predicting. They've picked up a couple, although not anywhere close to the talent they have lost. Won't be playing finals, but won't be getting flogged by 30 goals either. They wouldn't have come close to winning a flag if they had kept everyone that deserted them to go to Morwell East anyway.

Can see big Leroy Brown doing enough to qualify for the finals. He won't be required as Melbourne's forward coach in September, so should be right to dominate the country bumpkins of the NGFL come finals time.

Hey Nugget. Heard Leigh Brown signed at Heyfield for 25k?? The doh is probably wrong but Brown signed, yeah?

I wasn't at the training it was announced but after my daughter became sick I haven't had anything great to do with the club apart from playing. I am unsure of the details though and whether it will eventuate to be honest, I suppose alot is up to Melbourne and his commitment to them.

Leigh won't be getting paid, I think from knowing him that he would be offended if he was even offered, he also has a great relationship with Heyfield and everytime he came back he use to tell everyone he would play after retiring.

With Melbourne commitments I would say it will be up to seven games, hopefully he plays this many.

Agree with those comments of Nugget... Browny is a Heyfield
Boy through and through, would play for nothing to help out when he can, that's the type of guy he is
