Yeah, wonder how many premierships this group has in them? Some ageing stars, but plenty of young guns who will improve too.

So ****ing happy. And so proud of the girls. They’re inspirational.

Emma Kearney, waving her arms, gesturing for the fans to get loud in that last quarter when we knew we were home… just an all time great feeling. Didn’t think I’d have to wait 25 years to feel that again. Never take it for granted. It’s priceless.

Our first flag since the existence of Bigfooty. Glad I can share the joy with you all.

Time for a welfare check on a few people, starting with H2H.

Just got home. Sat on the fence all game and stayed of course to high five and get photos with players. My son was also in the photos and managed to hold the medals of a few of them.

What a magic game to cap a magic season. The crowd was amazing, the roar when Kearney came off the bench near the end brought goosebumps.

Hope to see a few of you tomorrow.

There are numerous to pick from, but the not 15m, and the 50m penalty a couple of absolute howler's, put the foot down first thing in the 3rd Q and snuff out their hopes

The “not 15” was the genuine howler of the game. I nearly marked that over here in Portlaoise!

Pardon the intrusion, but what a game.
After attending last years gf, I was lucky enough to get in to score a ticket once they opened it for he remaining tickets and I'm glad I did. To reverse last years result tonight.

I felt a night GF suits the womens. The atmosphere was top notch. Sitting with all the north fans in the grandstand, the vibe was so high you can't help but get involved, even as a neutral fan. I was so excited, and cheering, I felt like I was too a fan out there. And tonight, I was.

The girls just dominated from the first bounce. Didn't let Lions touch the ball, the defence was exceptional even when lions went forward, the girls would pick it off. Defence wins premierships. It's not just a saying.

The pressure just made the lions fumble, it happens when you apply the heat in such a contested game. And when you went forward you knew a goal was coming.

Great game.
Very well deserved. Best team all year. The results speak for themselves. And I'm especially happy for Jazzy and Emma King.

This is the standard that's now set that everyone will be chasing. I've always admired the way this team went about it, coming into the comp as an expansion club, being unlucky to not play finals in the first year because of that stupid conferences that was set up at the time; but have not put a wrong since. Hard work pays off, and the girls can use this as a a spring board going forward.

This feeling I have missed for 25 years. These girls deserve it. Worked their collective a$$es off and ensured they got redemption for last year.
