This is the happiest I've been in 25 years.
Such a beautiful night.

Other than the goals and the last few minutes waiting for the siren, my favourite part of the night was driving home, turning right into Royal Parade, windows down, roof open, North song blaring at full volume from the stereo, one hand on the horn, the other twirling my scarf overhead and dozens and dozens of North fans crossiing the road yelling their support at us on the way past and sharing in the sheer joy of our first premiership in the 21st century.

Freakin' love this club. What a great night. On to greater things in 2025 from here. Let's do it again.

What a night! So happy for the girls and for the club to bring some silverware! Do they do premiership weg style posters for AFLW like they do for AFL?
I thought I saw something saying he was doing them this year but I haven't found them so I don't think so

It will be interesting to see what this team can do next season, they have elevated the women’s game to a level the other clubs couldn’t match in 2024.

Needs to be acknowledgement of some of the girls who missed out on the 21 today. Especially Martin and Shannon, who did their bit during the year and would be walk up starts at any other team. Also some of the girls who’ve moved on but were crucial in setting the tone in the early days, like Ellie Gavalas.

“It takes a whole club to win one of these” - as W Carey said on the dais after one of the 90s flags.

What a team this is. I cheered so hard for every single player as they each received their medal. Tonight proved that they really were destined to win it all... what a performance.

Emma Kearney really led the way, so ferocious on the field and well-spoken off it. You couldn't tell that she'd been sidelined for half the season. A special shout out to Tess Craven too, I thought that she was so tough, clutch and spectacular tonight. A true Shinboner.

Wow. A special night.

Yeh big shout on craven. I was historically a doubter but she’s come a long way and stood under two high balls tonight that she would have easily been pushed off of in the past. To do that in the most critical game of the year is absolute props. Well done

They ****en did it

What a team -every single player did their job.
Pressure was off the charts - lions must of felt claustrophobic as they had no space or time.

So happy for all of them as they are so upbeat all the time and now they’ve made us all so happy.

Maybe all those year ago we should have given crock the afl job.

I just want to add, what a wonderful defence. Legendary, all-time greats, the bunch of them. Despite no All Australian selections, our girls just held the best opposition forward line to one goal in a grand final, and that goal only came from a dubious 50m penalty paid in the middle of the ground and therefore, not the fault of the defenders.

Can you buy that beer

The Invincibles sounds terrific.

The win makes up for last year and the one we missed out during Covid.

Hearing happy, loud North fans at a game was refreshing.

This team has always had talent but now has the maturity to play hard structured footy. It’s got a bit of Richmond about it during their run.

Time for a drink

Just some follow up thoughts -

I'm happy for Darren Crocker. I was a critic of his in the years after we harshly got rid of Scott Gowan. His perseverance has been rewarded.

I thought Kearney was the best player on the ground but who cares....Garner is Garner and she's just a star. We're so lucky to have her at the club.

This is gonna sound odd but I'm actually happy for Mazda. This stupidly loyal car company that's stuck with us through all the shit now finally have their brand associated with silverware and success again.
