The streak started with the final four games in 1914, including the flag, undefeated in 1915 and 1918 and won both flags (no games in 1916 or 1917), then undefeated in 1919 but bombed in finals. In total I think it was a 49 game winning streak including three premierships. Pretty impressive. Wouldn't be upset if our AFLW team produced something like that!

Well I can elaborate on my earlier response about her, by repeating what I wrote on the draft/trade board:

30 next year. Hasn't finished top 10 in GC's B&F last two years (and only scraped in the year before) despite being captain.

Finally, there’s a saying that teams win games, but clubs win premierships.

This flag is not a women’s program success, it’s a North Melbourne Football Club success. Yes, our women held up the cup, but it was the whole club, coaches, staff, volunteers, families, friends, members and supporters who got them there.

Next year, the club celebrates our centenary in the VFL/AFL competition. To have written an AFLW (and VFLW) flag into our 100-year history is incredible.

And, on a personal note, it’s the first North Melbourne premiership I’ve witnessed in person. And that’s pretty special too.

I must admit I’m feeling ever so slightly smug and happy because, before R1, I put $100 on North to win the flag.

I had one of my better wins as well making a great night even greater…backed Alice and Vicki to score 2+ goals at 55/1 … if you saw someone jumping around like a fool after Vicki scored her second that would have been me

Fair enough you’d know better. I enquired about the cap and t shirt and was told there was none available at that time.
