I think this is optimistic. I think a winning Grand Final and they both retire. We showed that we don't need Kearney any more, and she needs to move on into coaching. I know less about Shierlaw, but their age mitigates against a long future.

Yeah I could see Shierlaw retire if we win in which case we could make a play for Taylah Harris who is out of contract with pies and hawks chasing her and is very close with Libby birch

It is such testament to Ruby's work that she's mentioned in the same sentence as an all time GAA gun and two time AFLW premiership player

In my view, I’d actually say she has the edge over both. However, their roles are more important in the greater scheme of things.

100% agree. If we win, Kate would be mad not to go for the double. Equally, if we lose, she’d be even madder! Seriously, she’s performing like a thoroughbred…

I’m all out of kilter over here in Ireland. I was all prepared to fire up Foxtel Go at 6.30 am tomorrow for the game. I’ve only just realised I’m a day early. Same thing happened last week. I should be over the jet lag by now, surely! I’ll be a frazzled mess by the time the game starts. At least, it’s on at a halfway respectable time for me. The Prelim was pretty hard having to wake up at 4 am.

She was absolutely flying. In fact, her one and only act in the game was a brilliant run down and tackle. I have absolutely no doubt we would’ve won had she played out the full game. Also, it can’t have done Garner any good, seeing her partner suffer such a serious injury.

Yeah, the Lions are trying to pretend they're underdogs is quite telling psychologically.

I'd like to think that if we ever win a flag, our attitude will be "WE ARE THE QUEENS, COIME AND HAVE A GO" the next year.
