I get the sense from the interview that Shierlaw did with the website during the week that she will play as long as she's able to.

In the mens comp a 35-year-old player has had 17-18 years of pre-seasons & that full-time workload would mean burnout for many.
Shierlaw didn't even begin playing footy until 27 and the women's comp has only gone fully professional in the last few years. She's at the peak of her powers and probably would have been in the AA team if she didn't miss two games due to injury. Why quit now when things are ramping up!
Going by recent interviews, I'd think Sarah Wright is the most likely to retire if we win the premiership. She almost retired at the end of last season.

The workload when you run a business must make it hard to juggle, wouldn’t blame her at all.

We really don't have enough data to determine at what age elite women's bodies start to break down when exposed to professional football competition. The best players to have retired thus far have tended to be successful and satisfied with a premiership or three, have other career goals outside of playing, and no longer have the motivation to continue into another preseason.

An ex Lions player is on the panel for the BOG. FFS!
Plenty of ex players are in commentary - she is the one who shows the most bias for her old team by far.

Was it my imagination or did Sarah re-sign a while back
She signed until 2026, but I think if anyone retires before their contract is finished it will be her.

AFLWToday has been pretty pro north all year and today they have all nominated us for the win. Good pre GF show featuring Smith

That was great, wish I’d known about this podcast earlier in the season.

North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos trio Sarah Wright, Erika O'Shea and Ruby Tripodi have recommitted to the club until at least the end of 2026. O'Shea, who was already signed on for 2025, has put pen to paper on a one-year contract extension while Wright and Tripodi have signed two-year contract extensions.12 Nov 2024
