Kate Reynolds our vflw ruck?I know who exactly they’ll pickup
Would be nice, but if she nominates for the draft plenty of clubs ahead of us would be keen given her VFLW season.Hopefully Dojiok she's a gun
If we were really keen on her , we could of upgraded her to the list when we copped that season ending injury to stubsWould be nice, but if she nominates for the draft plenty of clubs ahead of us would be keen given her VFLW season.
We really need an upgrade to existing picks. At this stage, we will have to delist someone else besides McGrath and Pullar, and then we will only have two selections. No point getting any third rounders in that case. What do we think we will get for pullar in a trade
Yer just say we get pick 40 of swans for pullarWe really need an upgrade to existing picks. At this stage, we will have to delist someone else besides McGrath and Pullar, and then we will only have two selections. No point getting any third rounders in that case.
If she goes we target Bella smith from the swansWhat do we think we will get for pullar in a trade
They don't use and AFL style points system in the AFLW, they use a different bidding systemYer just say we get pick 40 of swans for pullar
Then trade 36/40/42 to Gold Coast for pick 19 they get points for acd player that will leave us with pick 18/19
OFFICIAL AFLW DRAFT BID MATCHING VIA THE CBA
“Matching a bid by a Club means using a selection in the AFLW Draft which falls within one round of the bid. For example, where a bid falls with the sixth selection of the first round (selection 1.06), the matching Club must use their next selection by the sixth selection of the second round (selection 2.06).”
Other than the brief mention in an article a couple of weeks ago, I haven't heard anything about her wanting a trade out of Sydney. Do we still know if she wants out?If she goes we target Bella smith from the swans
2 at leastHow many selections do we have to take ?
We’ve got an extra player on our list as well - right2 at least
I think we end up taking 3
Just upgraded our 3rd pick
Expect Burke delisted again and savriryan too
Correct we signed Sophie Kavanagh as a replacement player after Georgia Stubs suffered a season ending injury. We’ve got an extra player on our list as well - right
Looking at the list that was the conclusion I came to too. I hope Zoe survives, I had a chat to her at the b&f and she said they find out next week.2 at least
I think we end up taking 3
Just upgraded our 3rd pick
Expect Burke delisted again and savriryan too
Noooo!! Got to retain Vikki Wall.It will also be interesting to see if our four Irish players return. O'Shea and Bogue have already been signed for next season, but Martin and Wall haven't signed.
I was looking at the multi club deal and nothing jumped out as a massive win for either side - it’s just sensible trading to make sure you get what you want and if the other side does equally well or even better on paper that seems to be fine.We leveraged a DFA who didn't play a game into a 12 pick upgrade.
The AFLW team are truly the bizarro version of the AFL team.
This is a significantly better system than the outright bullshit in the men’s.They don't use and AFL style points system in the AFLW, they use a different bidding system
They won't trade pick 19, their Academy prospect Havana Harris is expected to be one of the first 2 or 3 players selected as she is a bit of a "unique" talent. There was an article posted on the AFLW website about her yesterday.
The competition backs are hoping we don’t retain her. She really is a massive weapon not only in hitting the score board, but tackling with purpose. She is in every sense of the word a power forward. The kicking action is as crooked as Dan Andrews, but the result is a very accurate kick.Noooo!! Got to retain Vikki Wall.
I'm drunk right now but I f***en love this club!!Invincibles, for sure. But, even more so, Inevitables. I'm not a huge believer in destiny. However, this flag... was meant to be.
Written in the stars. And though hard to pinpoint the proverbial Big Bang, it was certainly no later than when trailblazer Tanya Baker (daughter of Phil "Snake" Baker) convinced her longtime friend, a WNBL sharpshooter by the name of Michelle Dench, to switch sports and join Melbourne Uni WFC.
From there, as we know, Laura Kane and our own Sonja connected the dots between the two clubs. Then enter Jen Watt, who was pivotal in getting the exhibition games up and running, which of course ensured AFLW would become a sudden reality (check out this interview if you want to hear ultimate pioneer Debbie Lee talk for 40 minutes about how much she loves our current CEO).
Now we're buying premiership merch and memorabilia, and no doubt there'll be 5000+ paid-up members next year. Guarantee there'll be 10k+ of us by 2030, when Kearney and possibly a 36yo Garner will already be in the Australian Football Hall of Fame.
