Genuinely what the **** was that last one for? She dropped it and it's a free?
North got away with a few as well. The umpiring was lousy. That OOB "Lasoo" claimed by Conti and the free she got for basically half-tripping over her own feet were completely off the planet though. She gets the three umpire votes without doubt.

Gee that commentator was driving me insane, he must have mentioned Richmond a thousand times plus, no matter what the scoreboard was saying.

Another great game from Ruby T, loved O'Shea's late tackle.

Why late in the game did the clock keep getting stopped randomly at breaks in play ?

TBH, I think Kearney out is a good thing. She's an amazing player and one of our stars - but she wont be around forever. We need to win without her on the ground.
Ah can’t agree here.

While sure there are obscure benefits they are far far outweighed by the benefit of her fit and out there.

Also @35 in this league? No reason she couldn’t play for another 5 years.

I think the clock stops in the last 2 mins at stoppages

Some of you are almost there, it’s in the back of your mind and on the tip of the tongue.

Just find the courage to say it
Now, now, DR. Don’t provoke. 🤣
when they say we can't play the wet, what that really means is that we don't win by 5-10 goals in the wet like we do in the dry. we're still pretty good in the wet.
QED…

Some observations:

We can play well in the wet.
Erika O'Shea played her best game for us.
Kim Rennie was noticeably good today.
Jas Garner is an absolute star of the game.
Vicki Wall's return to our team this year could win us a premiership.
Libby Birch much the same. So reliable down back.
When Ash Riddell is quiet, we are far less damaging. She got going in the second half and so did we.
Jenna Bruton is getting back to form after that injury in the GF.
Our role players keep playing their roles. That's what you need in order to contend at the pointy end of the season.

Probably our most significant win outside of thrashing Brisbane in round 1. Richmond are a side on the rise. Conti is a hell of a player.

Onwards! Hopefully Emma's hamstring is not serious. Go Roos!!

Good win in the end - inelegant, and not a highlight reel we'll be reaching for any time soon, but after quarter time we worked our way professionally into it and largely neutralised the advantages Richmond were finding in the first term (e.g., Conti out the back of the stoppage was damaging early, still busy afterwards but less influential; we found ways to play something like our usual game rather than bombing it to their spare quite so often). Especially for a third game in nine days, two of which were played in pretty awful and wearing conditions, and with Kearney down so early in the match - it may not have been the domination we've shown in every other win this year but proving we're capable of winning ugly as well is important. Solid stuff.

While not the prettiest game at times we rose to the challenge that the Tigers threw at us and got the job done. Jassy and Ash great again. Bella and Alyce were awesome again too. Our role players did their jobs too. Onto next week.

Or Darren Crocker can’t coach.

Indeed 0.01ms to move back, 50m because North might score…
Niamh didn't run inside the 9, she simply stood the mark from exactly where she was so the sensible thing is simply tell her to drop back to the 9. Every other umpire has done that since the rule came in. Peanut today decided to get some screen time.
