The players need to spend less time whingeing about the umps. We had almost twice the free kicks !

The team goes ok on their terms, but obviously lacks grit and hardness.

Shocking 2nd half , got killed in the contest . Defenders constantly flew up against each other in the marking contest leaving their opponents on the deck to crumb .

i only watched the last Q, so maybe the previous 3 were heaps better, but what bloody system is Crocker playing? We look the same as previous years IMO, pick up ball eventually, boot it long , maybe Jas or Randall get on the end of it. Our skill level looked sub par to Lions, especially with picking the ball up. We hit no short passes to lead up players, like ever.

Aaarrgghhh, but that was a frustrating game. We had our chances but just couldn’t take them; Shierlaw dropping that mark, Tahlia falling to make the distance from two very gettable shots and then the poor kick late on. Alice squaring the ball straight to an opponent. The constant fumbling. The weird umpiring. The commentators thinking they work for Brisbane Lions TV.

Garner was brilliant as usual. Riddell and Kearney put in a shift. Bruton did well in her first game back. Emma King continued her good form. Ferguson was good again.

Somebody obviously got to the Umpires at halftime, what was a free in the first half wasn't in the second. We shot ourselves in the foot with a poor and at times lazy second half, we allowed Brisbane to molest us off the ball and dictate the outcome. They out tackled us, beat us at the contested game and tightened up the clearances and we didn't have any answers, and in the end too much was left to too few.

Same old same old then? Lol

That needs to be a line in the sand.

Crocker needs to tell a few articulate hard truths.

Felt like expected it to happen today instead of cracking in when we needed to.

We can be more physical in the contest than we showed.

A hard, hard watch on Gavarlas and O’Loughlin.

Less so Alice, as she at least gets to plenty of contests.

Lazy defending cost at least two, maybe three goals.

Cannot let loose players out the back of a contest. In a shorter version of the game it’s unforgivable.

What does Gavalas offer??

Saw the first quarter then got distracted with GF ticket tomfoolery - was shocked to see it got away. But not completely, they seemed to be g
better around the ball even when we were well on top. Sigh, that’s a big chance missed.
