I was there till 3/4 time, got absolutely drenched, comically so. Should have taken a Luke.

I did take a small umbrella but was not allowed to bring it in though I saw many being used inside the ground.

I was really impressed by the team’s performance, they were great.

Bresnehan and O’Shea in good form again
niamh Martin has been great last 3 games since coming back
No injuries
Wall and Randall tackling is a joy to watch
Birch the general back there
Garner elite as usual even in the wet

Shierlaw likely back next week and hopefully Pullar too

I reckon that one commentator said 'Dogs' instead of 'Roos' (before quickly correcting herself) about ten times. Up the North Melbourne Dogs-uh-roos.

Outclassed them from start to finish.

Really solid four quarter effort, with some classy moments.

Team is beautifully structured and that is making it easier for players to come in and make meaningful contributions.

Didn't look entirely switched on in the first half, but that second half was a big improvement. We were impregnable down back, dominant in the middle and solid up forward. I don't think anyone stood out, everyone stepped up and contributed when required, it was a full team effort. I thought Shannon was pretty good in her first game back, and looks like a good replacement for Kearney, and it allows Bresnehan and O'Shea to rebound out the defensive 50.

I think Crocks has another really interesting selection dilemma next week, if Shierlaw returns for the next game. Does he drop Martin or does the Nostril get his wish. Martin hasn't done much wrong in the last three weeks, can be creative in tight and is averaging a goal a game. Wall for all her speed and power isn't as creative in tight, perhaps she can be moved to the wing where she has more space and can use her speed and big left foot to create havoc further up the field.

Thoughts on the game:

We can play in the wet.
Vicki Wall loves a crunching tackle.
Niamh Martin is improving with each game.
Not sure my rain jacket is worth the name. Got soaked.
Post victory beers in the Town Hall Hotel are always good.

NicBres seems too have found a little bit of form now.

To be fair, she’s defended well in just about every game but her skills looked a little rusty in the early rounds.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the injury she had last year had a bit of an impact on her pre-season.

It looks like she’s moving freely now and her skills are looking good too. Really happy to see her getting back to her best.
