Kind of like the logo. Different but it's alright. I reckon they won't move even most of us say they might. But i don't think they should if they want to.

Who ever designed it stuffed up on the tail. It looks way off and one part bull horns. I don't think the kangaroo is designed well. Get rid of the tail or fix it.

Very interesting watching North "Kangaroos" sellout there so called important traditions all the time. Jumpers, Logo's... where does it all end?

The logo must be a last kinda call out to get some fans before the storm finally Irrupts and you's finally bite the finance bullet and are off to the Gold Coast.

I need to see it on a proper white background. As it appears in that pic the colours seem washed out and not bold enough.
The logo is OK without being fantastic, but will probably grow on me.

Good to see the Kangaroos brace the football public for the inevitable :)

It's the North Melbourne part in the logo I find laugable and hypocritcal. It just gets the denial and deluded Roo Fans hopes up for being around much longer in the Victorian Market or at all in any market in the country for a matter of a fact.

There is not one club that has the same logo as they did 25-20 years ago.

Not one.

Back then they were all a uniform shield design. As far as I can tell, North held onto their shield design longer than anyone else. Now they are all gone.

And if you don't mind, you will actually see that the name 'North Melbourne' is back on this one. And that we still wear our traditional home jumper.

So basically everything you just said is crap. Like the bowl of fruit loops you club stared into to determine their colours. They are puffy but damn, they don't have anything worthwhile in them.

See? anyone can blindly criticise a club using irrelevant arguments.

I thought teams were putting their location in their logo's to make sure they're always associated with that area. e.g Carlton have put 'Carlton' back in their logo instead of just the CFC emblem. They were doing it because of all the talk of relocation. Suppose they can just change it when the big move comes.

Carlton have? Every instance I've seen of the 'new' Carlton logo is just the modified CFC mongram on its own...

(and it's not nearly as impressive as the old full crest)

Is it really important to portray the Kangaroo actually holding the football?

Are they trying to claim that they actually ARE football-playing Kangaroos?

I thought pretending to actually BE your mascot was the territory of the Bulldogs...

I didn't study marketing, but I did do a marketing elective and one of the things I took from that is the importance of the brand and its consistency.

Despite the inclusion of "North Melbourne" in the new logo I believe the club will still be referring to itself as the "Kangaroos Football Club". This ongoing confusion between "North Melbourne" and the "Kangaroos" hasn't done the club any favours IMHO. A club needs to represent something, I don't think the club's marketers have a clue what they are trying to represent.

If they are going to allow the words "North Melbourne" to continue floating around they may aswell call themselves North Melbourne again.
