Bont has the yips pure and simple . I don’t know why the club doesn’t admit it or questions aren’t asked by journalists .

He needs help to sort it out , I don’t know what or how but he does . The whole club does .

Unfortunately Bont’s erratic kicking - both for goal but increasingly in general play - are tarnishing his reputation. Unless he sorts it out he won’t be remembered amongst the true stellar great .

That Welty’s great through the legs pickup but Naughts is so good through that part of the ground. Away from JUH at least, twice Naughts has spoilt him. And bloody Weightman flying against our talls and nobody crumbing, horrible football.

I spotted this early in the year. ABC Radio just spoke about it too, although they didn't mention Weightman and I think he's the main culprit....can't he play a roving role around either of the other two and be there ready to pick up the scraps when the other 2 muck it up? I know nothing about footy, but surely I seem to see better the Spangher in the works!!!

He should be played at CHF. He creates goals that our supporters seem to miss.

100% I really don’t understand how people think he offers nothing - I’ve said this so many times but I’d be happy to play Naughty in my forward line even if he kicked 0 goals for the year he’d deserve a spot because his impact outside the scoreboard is unmatched league wide in a tall.

He offers the forward line so much, agree he needs to play CHF now though especially now that Marra is sticking his marks (omg just wish he could ****ing kick ffs, he makes Naughty look like Tory Dickson)

I don’t like it usually either but every time he’s flown today it’s been the right call IMO. The problem is why are these opportunities presenting themself so often, not why is he flying when they do

He still has the right to go when it’s his turn to go, I can’t remember an instance where he should have stayed down over flying today anyway

Well that's another thing. Bont was injured last year too & carried them. All our good players have to carry these other spuds and they end up injured because they give 150% when the Hannan's of this world aren't up to 50% standard. Bont, Treloar, JJ, L Jones injury injury injury......that's another thing that wrong with this club....part coaches, part sports medicine ppl there

Yeah it’s wild, I remember watching him in one of his first vfl games moose a ball 65 odd meters with ease and thought yep we’ve got one who can take those long shots. What have we done to him?

I think he just felt like he had to say something, so spewed out that garbage about what a beautiful shot for goal Bont is….. anyone who has watched any footy for the past 3-4 years would.know that he is probably in the bottom 5% of set shot goal kickers in the AFL.

Naughton tries too hard at times . Picks the ball up , whirls around , handballs a teammate into trouble , gets caught holding the ball ….

Contrast with Marra who beautifully turns his defender , leads and marks the ball above his head ….

You can say Naughton brings heaps to the forward line but we’re terrible. 5 goals in a half of footy against North , a side whose main strengths are their mids ruck and forwards , not backs .

The forward line just doesn’t work .

His kicking action this season has been poor. Not sure why he hasn't been corrected but he's been slicing at the ball instead of kicking back now.
