No way. Do not even try it. Harry McKay just like Peter Wright at Gold Coast and Joe Daniher at Essendon might be tall enough to try to ruck but he is a forward, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. We could lose a very very promising long term key forward by throwing in ruck and getting injured. Leave that to the pure rucks or Rowe types or even experimenting with Levi as part time rucking as they did. Nothing to be lost there but plenty to lose by playing McKay ruck and does a knee and we down a key draftee we drafted to be a key forward.
Just seen this on Twitter. Excellent for the youngsters and someone like Sumner or Sheehan.NB practice game vs Werribee on Sunday.

Pleased with this and expect detailed reports to be filtering through (get your backside to Arden St, thy master)
SANFL have power too.....sometimesThe amateur leagues pay more in this state, plus the power the Victorian clubs and the TAC have over the talent pool.
SANFL haven't played any games yetIs there any reason why the VFL season starts so late?
The WAFL is up to rd3 this weekend and SANFL is up to rd2.
So missing a gameSquad:
Luke Russell, Glenn Strachan, Dylan Buckley, Jesse Glass-McCasker, Tom Williamson, Liam Jones, Harry McKay, Rhys Palmer, Sam Kerridge, Bailey Jordan, Nick Graham, Matthew Korcheck, Mason Blakey, Alex Browne, Kane Keppel, Liam Sumner, Kristian Jaksch, Sam Fowler, Zac Fisher, David Cuningham, Blaine Boekhorst, Cameron Polson, Ciaran Sheehan
If that's to be trusted as finalised, sounds like officially no change for Sunday, with a few VFL guys being rested 6 days before round 1.
My take on the 23:
FB: Buckley JGM Jordan
HB: Sheehan Keppel Williamson
C: Palmer Graham Fisher
HF: Boekhorst Jakskch Polson
FF: Jones McKay Sumner
R: Korcheck Kerridge Cuningham
Int: Russell, Blakey, Browne, Strachan, Fowler
So missing a game
Byrne, Phillips, Gorringe, Lamb, Gallucci all assumed still injured
A.Silvagni, Le Bois, Kerr ?????
LeBois has just resumed from an ankle injury, so was probably 50/50 for the game, and I don't think Kerr has missed a beat as far pre-season appearances go, so he's probably being rested. So missing a game

Yus, but we've given him a reverse lobotomy. Is Alex Browne ex-Essendon?
