Shame no one from mont has acknowledged the retirement of one Matt Cusack. great player, solid backman. Once on the Richmond list, didnt quite have the skills to pay the bills in the big show but, still, suprised he hasnt been mentioned. Shame on u Mont twats.

Has mont had there presentation night yet, there could be something with that.Sounds like you should have sucked him off after his last game anyway :D

Just read the team of the year. Well done to all chosen.
How are these sides selected? Do they pick the best player in the positions they played?
If they did, a few wingmen would be pissed. The 2 selected probably wouldn't know where the wing is on the ground. They are both brilliant onballers and could probably play on the wing, but they didn't.
There is probably some other positions where similiar has occurred. How do we feel?

As far as new coaches go I would be quite surprised if the coach of the Greensborough U19s does not get some phone calls.

Coaching U19s may be a lot harder than looking after seniors as the flow through of players each year is quite different and you have the becoming adults thing (beer and woman, jobs etc) and seniors teams taking your players.....there is lots of issues.

But to win three Div 1 U19 premierships in a row is quite a effort.

Not my under 19`s! But yes Brett Weatherald. Apparently has put in for it and has plenty of support to get the gig.

Not sure if he is over the line yet, but would certainly be a worthy choice. Has solid footballing credentials and did indeed coach a flag winning U19's side.

Probably 60% or so of the current senior list would have played under Brett through the Juniors, so they would have a massive respect for his coaching abilities.

I'm sure a decision will be made shortly, most likely after Mick Malthouse has confirmed whether or not he is available. ;)

Here we go all these rumours start! And that one is just terrible. He will be at bundoora, loves the place and everyone there loves him. Great player and even better person. Look forward to see him dominate in the navy blue and white next year!!
