It would be just a hyperlink that needs to be changed to Play HQ off the EFNL Website Transfers button. It's still going to Game Day. Someone had one job.

Yep the EFNL still has the old link up, but it’s pretty obvious the required report (all transfers with old and new club) hasn’t been built in PlayHQ. Clubs and leagues have been asking for it for 1-2 years and nobody has it.

There was whinging last year from PlayHQ leagues that transfers weren’t made publicly visible. Don’t know if that’s the case here.
Unless they're moving from a league which used PlayHQ last year it won't be flagged in the PlayHQ system as a transfer anyway as they'll be creating a new account in PlayHQ. Good luck to the league trying to keep track.

Outer East is on Play HQ and they had a screen for their transfers last year. I'm not sure if they will update it this year. It's not great but its there.

The transfer list is constructed oddly. Why make someone enter the same thing twice. I couldn't find an instance where they were different, unless putting FN in one column and Football Netball in the next column makes it different.
The Source Association and the Source Competition are always the same.
This is repeated for the Destination Association and the Destination Competition.

Geeks designing things with no consultation with end users.

If anyone from the EFNL wishes to contact me and provide me with the appropriate access. I will donate my time and add the PLAYHQ Transfers information/page to the EFNL Website Transfers link/button.

And just like that BANG it's up. https://efnl.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Transfers-as-at-5.2.2024.pdf

Mind you it's just a PDF that they will have to update every few days.

Missing page 2 of the PDF for just the Powelltown movements !
I heard some bizarre info that someone with no kids died and left a property that generates 20k in rent to Powellton footy club! and had another person confirm. Sounds nuts but would anyone know of anything like this?

In 1968 East Burwood stalwart, Wally Fankhauser sold up the family fruit orchards and moved to Queensland. A lot of other East Burwood Orchardists also sold up at the time (huge redevelopment for housing along Burwood Highway) but moved further out to Coldstream, Mt Evelyn and even further out.
Wally became involved in real estate and made a lot of money in Queensland. Wally was married to Colin Tainton's sister. He bequeathed Southport Football club $2 million while his wife was away on holidays. There are a couple of very funny stories about why he became a Southport Supporter. One is that he wanted to support another black and white club. The other is what I would like to believe. He visited a club with the idea of becoming a member. Wally unlike most Fankhauser's, liked a tipple and had a great time there, had a lot to drink and was a bit noisy. When he enquired about joining he was informed that the club already had enough pisspots. Next week he went to Southport. Without Wally, Southport wouldn't be in the VFL or be one of the most financial sporting clubs in Australia.

Rick Fankhauser (Son) was down in Melb a few years back when Southport played in the VFl Gf. He attended Rams finals at the time.

Looks like a lovely puff piece on Leader Local regarding Beverley Hills & East Doncaster. I don’t pay so can’t read.

Perhaps a follow up to the adverse reaction by some here on a previous piece. Some of you gents here have a powerful reach in the local game. 😜
If it's all so wonderful Bob, you wonder why 11 kids have left Beverly Hills and all gone to Blackburn.

Advised last night he's gone there to be with mates and there's a personal issue as well. He was happy to go there as he will not be playing against EB.
Still BUGGER! Players like Brayden who can regularly kick miracle goals are rare indeed.

Tbf Blackburn are regular and active recruiters of juniors. Shouldn’t happen, but some clubs are happy to do it.

On East Doncaster, have heard from a few different people that their recruiting antics are starting to wear very thin among other clubs.

Im more confused about the president whining about fringe players leaving when he's swinging the chequebook at anyone who wants a easy pay day
