I'd say Wagner, Henry, O'Rourke and Jamieson all play one game each.Tim Southee (C, Northern Districts)
Tom Blundell (WK, Wellington Firebirds)
Devon Conway (Wellington Firebirds)
Matt Henry (Canterbury)
Kyle Jamieson (Canterbury)
Tom Latham (Canterbury)
Daryl Mitchell (Canterbury)
Will O’Rourke* (Canterbury, squad for second test only)
Glenn Phillips (Otago Volts)
Rachin Ravindra (Wellington Firebirds)
Mitch Santner (Northern Districts)
Neil Wagner (Northern Districts)
Kane Williamson (Northern Districts)
Will Young (Central Stags)
Best XI? Latham, Conway, Williamson, Ravindra, Mitchell, Blundell, Phillips, Santner, Wagner, Southee, Henry
The bowling makes sense, especially against a weakened opponent.I'd say Wagner, Henry, O'Rourke and Jamieson all play one game each.
Wouldn't be surprised if Williamson misses at least one match too.
I'd go Latham, Conway, KW, Mitch, Ravindra, Phillips, Blundell, bowlers personally. I prefer putting the younger players lower in the order. The bowling makes sense, especially against a weakened opponent.
I was tossing up between Ravindra and Williamson in the 3/4 position. Personally would prefer Ravindra in 3 for long term planning. If Kane were to miss out, drop Conway down and bring in Young to open?
