if you rotate witts/grundy in the AFL with white/lynch as the back up and have hudson in the VFL i think we are fine

The club has recruited Adams and Jesse White this off-season, and has committed to signing Tony Armstrong as a delisted free agent should the Swans cut him as expected.

That would actually have some merritt if Paine had shown any sort of form suggesting he could make it as an AFL player, let alone a KPF which they desperately need. Especially with the Crameri deal going south day by day.

May have the Corries about him but as a late or PSD pick he isn't a risky investment to my mind. He adds some contest for the medium defender role and if it doesn't pan out what have we lost? I'd prefer someone who's been in the system.

paine is more an 1980's type player, big bulky 193 full forward who can't play anywhere else, can't really chase or tackle just wants the ball bombed to him

In modern footy that role is becoming extinct, full forwards have to sprint all the way to the wing to provide links and also provide forward 50 pressure. You also have to be able to play more than 1 position unless you are a superstar like cloke or buddy

For these reasons I really don't see how paine makes an AFL career for himself. If we get karnezis and white then they push him wayy down the pecking order for marking forwards and he already couldn't get a game without them at the club.

The fact his kicking at goal is shocking and he is undersized also works against him

Gault 100% no, gets spanked regularly by VFL type players and has gotten worse since 2012.

Yagmoor probably depends on what other rookies are available, personally i'm not a fan and don't see him as an AFL player but he finished the VFL season strongly which could get him another year. I feel him and ramsay are fairly similar just ramsay is a much better player in all aspects except maybe kicking where they are both good

He did, at about 8:45 or so.

Nothing new, just the talking points we've been hearing about why we went and got Adams and White, Adams having good leadership qualities. Sounded confident of getting Karnezis.

Probably the most interesting part was Maher and Watson saying that Hine will be the next in line to get a sleeve tat, given the nice little collection of blokes with sleeves we seem to be amassing.

Good thing, too. An arm covered in ink would not be conducive to Hine's MO of remaining incognito at football games out in the middle of nowhere, scouting out the next 10-time Brownlow medallist for the Pies...

Clarke, Gault and Yagmoor have only been held over for another year because of contracts and/or a thin draft.. 2015 the assault begins in earnest with money freed up for a premium FA and a superdraft.. a few players will have to be delisted starting with those 3
