Before they get into the ambulance one of them knocks over a wheelie bin and as the camera pans up at a sunrise with the ambulance driving off into the distance we are left with a good 1min loop of that sound effect.

script ideas

. Turns out the thugs in the scallop industry were behind the mine disaster (Gussy sampson playing the head thug, in a james bond villan type of role (would have an awesome evil laugh))
. The journalists at the site of the mine, can all be replaced by Ed's camp hollywood reporter, and dicky wilkins
. Todd and Brant emerge from the mine wearing capes
. They celebrate the rescue with a 40 hour rave at the veale gardens
. Conflict occurs within the mine, with sources allegidly hearing Brant exclaim "Its too soon Reese, its too soon !"
. Brants father (played by none other than ugly dave gray) finally explains why the hell they named him Brant
. Steve Curry plays the role of a rescuer, only to utter the phrase "i dug a hole".
. The crisis prompts channel 7 to change its sunrise lineup. Kochie and Mel are now whiteanted by Richard Marsland (portrayed by a shirtless matthew mcconaughey) and Anne Wills
. Dave and Gus from the KFC ad, appear at the site to lend moral support, and helmets of hair
. As a sign of good will from the tasmanian government, Todd and Brant are both given a pair of jumperpants, and an icy cold can of coke post rescue.
. All footage of Peter Harvey and Laurie Oakes at the site, are underlayed with the Kim Beazly theme
. Tragedy strikes beaconsfield (or you could call it Gotham City if you wanted to) when there is a power outage, and all rescue efforts are haulted. Enter Karl Stefanovic to the resuce
. To keep the journalists on site awake and engaged, the opening scene from shortbus is re-enacted time and time again.
. The idea of getting a monkey to do the rescue is floated, but is shot down when its realised that you cant make a monkey do anything that it wouldnt do in real life.
. Todd and Brant are welcomed on release with a ping pong ball to the groin, and "ooh me plums" rings out across beaconsfield
