Pretty sure someone is making this up as I was at the game and Sutherland was pretty tame. Was aggressive at the ball but that was it.

Watched the United Mansfield Game and the Mooroopna Swans game on the weekend. The United Mansfield game was a disgrace compared to the Mooroopna Swans game. Im am going to be very well surprised if Mansfield finish Top 4. Seymour Swans Mooroopna will dominate the season this year. The Mansfield boys better wake up to them selves if they wanna have a shot cos the standard of their game was pathetic. After watching the game Sunday to it puts Cats in front of Swans in my opinion aswell. Seymour still on top though.

Tatura has been one of the most successful sides in the GVFL in the past 15 years. Just because we are going through a rebuilding phase doesn't mean we should be in the KDL. When was the last time Shep Swans won a Senior GVFL flag? They showed on the weekend that they will once again be pretenders in 2008. A champion team working together like Mooroopna or Seymour will always beat a team of fly-in champions. How are those Darwin players going to be able to handle 15deg and rain this week let alone our winter? If Knaggsy's money runs out in a few years the Swans will not be able to buy 20 players and thus might have to consider to go to the KDL!

if sudsy is getting a game for swans thug or no thug swans have no hope beating the lions or the cats he is too slow cant kick cant jump swans recruiting with the money they have to spend ordinary??? 07 grand final to fat slow and unfit .

To improve not only do you need to recruite but you may also need to get rid of your dead wood!!

I think your forgetting its round 2! You have alot more to worry about than any other club in the comp.
How many time have swans won the wooden spoon? I think you guys would win that stat as well.

I wouldn't be in a hurry to write off Tat in the GVFL. This season is going to be very lean, but if there is one club in the GVL that can turn things around quickly with recruiting its Tat. They won't cop being at the bottom for too long. The check book will be open in the next year or too.
Also, TatSean, Tat people should be the last to throw taunts at other clubs for buying in players. They have a pretty good track record of doing this themselves over the last 20 years. Danny Stevens, Greg DAx, The Gayfers, Tony Antrobus, Allan Thorpe all spring to mind and thats just the beginning. Tat have been very good at dishing the coin out over the years.

U r probably right....that's maybe why we got not much coin left?? Don't know the ins and outs of our financials. You missed a handy player in Paul Hawke who Tat recruited. When playing for Collingwood he polled in the top 10 in the 1989 brownlow medal with 14 votes.

Kicked 7 in the first final against us in 2004, including the one to win them the game and continue on to play Mansfield in the GF. We should have won that game if it wasn't for the crazed Peter Bird......

When was the last time you kicked 7 in a final superstar big footy king?

Yes he was awesome one of the better players to come into the comp. The one thing Tat has done, is win premierships when they have spent up. You can't take that away from them.

Carnt believe the way some people on here right clubs of after round 3 , I still remember an article that appeared in the Shepp News back in 95 , it read ," From March Champions to April Fools " and did the lions cop it in the media and big footy after being beaten in round 1 against Euroa . Its only early and clubs are still finding there way , so I say sit back and see what unvails from here on end. :thumbsu:

He also played seniors in the AFL, I havnt done that either.

How can you say that the swans need to get rid of the dead wood, yet this entire footy site bags them for recruting heavyily??? how could they have dead wood there with so many recruits?? I think people from other clubs cant handle it when a rival team has a crack at trying to get succsess?? people just gota get over it, if its not affecting you or your health then who gives a ____
