fat back pocket said:I'd like to say i do!! But...i don't. Saturday night wasn't too bad after Seymour got inspired by the local kickboxing tournament, with the pub turning into kickbox city after it closed!! Everyone was inspired and became kick boxing champs. Classic.
It's fair to say Shane Schottner does his best work after midnight.

It's pretty interesting hearing all the rumours flying around at the moment. Would anyone like to name a few of the young guns in the GV (up to 21 years of age)?
For Rochester, I think two young players: Matt Letcher and Brodie Montague would represent a pretty good future.
Letcher began the year in the 3rds and kicked about 40 goals in the first 8 rounds before playing seniors for the rest of the year. He is a medium forward with good skills. Kicked 4 on debut.
Montague is a goal kicking midfielder. He forced his way into the ones pretty early on and never looked back. He is very confident and has excellent skills. He kicked four goals from a wing (including one where he took a few bounces and kicked it on his left from 50m) in that infamous shoot-out against Euroa.
There are quite a few good other ones, but these two stand out for me.
To be honest, I can't think of too many around the league, but feel free to 'out' them on here...
ECHUCABOY said:These guys arent even 18 and have alot of maturing to do, brodies got pretty big tho, alot bigger than his red headed freak for a brother. You have really pumped them up here Rowey and no doubt they could be gun players in the future, but whether they will stick arounds another story.
Far chance brodes will but would matty?? I can see him fittin in nicely in life in the big smoke
ANT JESS said:he he, red headed freak! Eetchy is 18, not sure what the future hold for him, doesn't seem like he knows what he wants to do yet. So therefore could easilly still see matty being around fo a few more years to come.
ANT JESS said:Yeah nar fair call ECHUCABOY, come on leaps and bound this year. Possibly one of those players who plays better when the standard is better if you know what I mean. Not the sought of player that would dominate a 3rds game, but seemed to handle the rise to senior football with ease.

fat back pocket said:If that montague was still under 18's this year, there is a massive future ahead of him. Against Seymour at Seymour he played a pretty awesome game, obviously we knew he was young. But i reckon he had about 30 touches all around the ground. And was a big part of their 3rd quarter comeback.
Robbie douglas - 20. He is a star.
Jake Anderson - 18, didn't get a spot with Bushies initially, but fought his way into the side, played most of the season there. Missed out on a gig in the GV granny simply because Matt Penn and Pilling returned.

GVFLFAN said:Won't happen FBP!!! Don't know where you are getting your info from but maybe the local cop shop is talking crap!!! Would be fair enough for other clubs to chase sagey but he won't be going anywhere!!! He LOVES IT at Euroa!!!
No Heart said:Daniel Sage does love it a Euroa, but he is moving back to Melbourne and has got some thinking to do ,Monty are [ have] going to have a crack . And that come straight from the horses mouth. Ithink a few people must be getting told down in melbourne a diffrent story to the one being told to Euroa people. Hey i hope he stays a real pleasure to watch.
GVFLFAN said:Trust me, he will stay!!! End of story!!! How would you know anything NO HEART??? Monty would be mad not to have a crack as would any other side that wants a decent midfielder!!! Got to love trhis silly season s**t!!!
No Heart said:Look i hope he stays and yes we all hate this time of year, but i only made comment on something i know, did i lie that hes moving back to melbourne , did i make up that hes being chased by Monty and Eltham for that matter and what do i know you say, well lets just say your a good Fitness guru ?
jmain14 said:ha ha. exactly the sort of thing I was hoping to here from ya mate. do ya think noods will play next year?? could just see him playing and later becoming president and treasurer of a club ha ha.
jmain14 said:yeah bloody oath. my memories of those days are tommy dempsey continually ruining the day for everyone by having beers in the back seat and ********ing everywhere. bloody hell tommy!! bazz always had to stop the bus to see what all the fuss was about and there tommy would be carrying on like a clown. you didn't need beers to have an enjoyable bus trip to seymour - the 100 point pasting we used to cop was enough in itself - but you couldn't tell tommy that!!
