Hunter S and Scotty T played excellent games but I couldn't squeeze them into my votes.

What about Mr Annoying? Or The Other Thompson? Couldn't squeeze them in either? :)

3 Thompson just thought he was the standout player all day.
2 Wells slow start but kept getting better as the game went on.
1 Swallow huge all day and early on was a hard at it.

Hansen very close as was Firritto who was huge early on. Edwards, Anthony and Adams.

3 Firrito - didn't come across as much on the replay, but at the ground I thought he was our best, especially in the first half when we were at our best

2 Swallow - clearances, tackles were at the heart of our dominance for most of the game and he was the best of them

1 Wells - major influence again with the quality of his possessions

Wish I could fit in Thompson and Adams with these three - and probably Boomer, for the influence his good possessions had, even though he was out of the game for a lot of the time. I'm sure they'll get enough votes anyway to be counted.

3. Wells - all class

2. Thompson - risky at times, but very effective

1. Grima - why do I always feel so calm whenever he's near the footy?

Because he makes great decisions, he's cool under pressure, good with both hands and feet. Obviously has a great footy brain. I gave him 1 vote earlier in the thread, I know we had a lot of good players today and I can't argue with anyone's votes, but I am mildly surprised with Narni's lack of mentions.

Yes, all those things, SB.:thumbsu:

Defenders often struggle to get votes unless they're dashing out of defence. The reason someone is dashing out of defence might be a quick gather and handball or a change of direction from someone like Narni.:footy:

It's similar to how some people (me included probably) often underrate Swallow's tight play in close.

Different strokes and all that.

3. Wells- Its so good watching him play like this. Outstanding. Went into the middle at the start of the last and dominated.

2. Swallow- In absolutely everything. So hungry for the footy.

1. Anthony- Loved his long goals. Thought he ran hard all day.

Firrito next in line, very good, just not as good as those three.

Edwards unlucky, absolutely busts his arse, so much better than Jones.

Hansen was very good, along with Grima (Gun) and Thompson.

My votes might be a bit obscure, looking at the other votes.

3. Leigh Adams - Was my BOG. Contested footy, and won the ball at ground numerous times to feed it out to our better users. Deft taps, after winning the contested footy, don't go on the stat sheet, but he set the standard in the 1st half, along with Firrito.

2. Daniel Wells - When we needed him, he stood up. 2 goals, and took them on.

1. Andrew Swallow - Has had a good season. Best game since WCE - just needs to not have his lapses, otherwise he would be leading our B&F.

Edwards - Very good. 7 Inside 50's for the game I think.
Firrito - Also good despite goals kicked on him.

Great Win.
