Good win from the young joeys today.

On with the votes! From the ONEHD coverage

3. Daniel Wells
Great run and carry. Took the game on. Great to see Wellsy.

2. Scotty Thompson
Kept Petterd largely out of the game and finally started to look the goods in defence compared to his first few games

1. Andrew Swallow
Just didn't stop working all day. Great run and carry, awesome tackling... snagged a goal. Great all round game.

Unlucky : Anthony, McIntosh, Hansen, Rawlings, Adams, Edwards

Firitto deserves a mention too because he was great in passages but he left his opponent open a few too many times resulting in easy Melbourne goals.

3. Wells - Was good for the whole game but really sparked us in the last quarter with his silky skills and centre clearance work.

2. Thompson - Not perfect but did some outstanding work. 3 big contested marks.

1. Firrito - Dropped off a bit in the 2nd half but was absolutely dominant in the 1st to set up the win. Career best form.

Unlucky: Swallow, Adams, McIntosh, Anthony, Grima, Hansen.

1 Thompson Really good to see this bloke come back to form
Unlucky: Hansen, Greenwood, Mcintosh, Anthony and Wright

Great win by the boys today. Really did silence the hype around Melbourne.

3. Wells - Brilliant game today. His move into the guts in the last quarter was inspiring. Something like 4 or 5 clearances in a row with run and penetration. One of the most damaging players in the comp. Keep it up.

2. Thompson - Solid game. Hopefully has gained some form for our tough month ahead. We need him firing.

1. Firrito/McMahon/Rawlings - all combined to create some erudite defence.

Wright, Hale, Edwards, Adams, Anthony and Thomas played well...

3. Wells - can't stop giving this guy 3 votes, but he's just been so important to us
2. Thompson - easily his best game for the year
1. Swallow - Deserves at least 1 vote for his consistancy this year

Many others could have gotten votes too: Adams, Hanson, Anthony, Grima, McIntosh
Boomer had a serviceable game, Warren same, think Thomas saved his **** with his last quarter. Might get dropped anyway. Cunnington looks a bit slow in terms of disposal, not leg speed, needs to sharpen up. Otherwise great win, our first half was our best two back-to-back quarters all year.

3 wells - was great all day but the first 10 minutes of the last quarter was the first time i've ever seen him just take control and make the others follow

2 swallow - works harder than anyone and was tough as nails.

1 thompson - he's back. was great to see him taking marks and running away from people again

3. Thompson - Set up so much out of defense and also nullified his opponent.

2. Wells - Great run and carry, his skills really are an asset.

1. Adams - A genuine hard nut who has great composure, decision making and neat skills. I think when he plays well he really helps us out in the middle.
