Just read on AFL.com AJ injured his leg. From the sounds of it it's bad. Anyone have info?

that is crap! Here's hoping it's not a bad tear. Let it be a speedy recovery. Guess that means LRT is down back for a while and Jesse will get some game time.Swans Facebook says its a suspected ACL. Crap...

Yeah, given his age you would go regular op. I think i read somewhere that it depends on where the rupture occurred? It was also mentioned that he might be too young for the LARS, given there's a higher chance of re-injury?

My understanding is that not all ACLs are suitable for LARS, so it's possible he may have no choice and it may need to be the full knee reco.Heath had LARS not much older if at all, Swans staff are more pro LARS than anywhere else and have seen as many traditional reco's fail as LARS. I think they'll let AJ choose for himself.

Bloody heart breaking for the kid. He's such a valuable part of our back 6. I expect Armstrong to take his spot?
I agree. LRT will go back and Ted will probably take the 3rd tall. Ted will dominate even more and get a bit more latitude to run off as well.Different roles though. I'd think Armstrong was more competing with Mattner, Malceski, Shaw type rather than Johnson. For me, LRT will probably be permanent back and Jesse White *shudder* will probably get games.
That was my first thought too (actually second...my first thought was "oh no!!!"). LRT has a home down back for the season now. Bloody awful news for the kid, ah I hate the nab cup. Everything to lose, nothing to gain.Shattering news. Thanks god we have lrt.
Yeah I suppose you're right. White actually looks pretty sharp this year and it's evident he has been working on his fitness and second efforts. Hope he can play a few good games for us this year.Different roles though. I'd think Armstrong was more competing with Mattner, Malceski, Shaw type rather than Johnson.
