What the heck? Oh Wayne ... snortle

Why would you take the trouble to crush up a drug that is sold in an easy to handle and perfectly dosed capsule form (not powder) and put into a deal bag?
This. Unless Wayne can answer this type of question, I'm sorry but I will not believe a word of this anti-inflammatory nonsense.

I'm sure he doesn't care whether I believe him or not though.

I find it weird how people say: "Oh, cocaine doesn't hurt anyone other than the user".

Bullshit. Of course it does. The people who manufacture and distribute cocaine to the world kill shitloads of people. All along the supply chain people get murdered for that s**t. You can point the blame at the war on drugs if you like, but that doesn't change the reality that if you're buying lots of coke, somewhere along the lines some dude very likely got shot for that stepped-on powder you're handing over cash for.

I know a few people who stay away from cocaine for this very reason- they don't think the high is worth the cost in blood. And personally I think is a reasonable and nice position to take.

That said, I get jealous when people have it and I don't so I pretty much always join in, but I'm not gonna lie and say there's no victim, there's heaps of victims in my selfish behaviour.

This is my only moral judgement on cocaine - so if we were half smart here, we'd legalise it, tax it and take its distribution out of the hands of criminals.

As for it being a news story, well colour me shocked - ex-AFL player does coke. Who would have thunk it? I am amused at the crushed up anti-inflammatories defence though - that is hilarious. We all carry our prescription medications with us, making sure to crush it up whenever we're out for a big night on the town, don't we?

There's victims in the clothes we wear and the technology we use. Either go live in a hut or be a hypocrite.

So a bloke that glassed his girlfriend, bashed another girlfriend, punched on with cops in the US, cheated on his wife, f@cked his best mate's wife, and has publicly carried on with drunken drugged up violence for the past 30 years is going to sue and claim that his reputation has been damaged over being accused of having a gram of coke?

Might want to talk to his channel 7 mate Ben Roberts-Smith about how that works out…..

For this very reason there is a principle in defamation law that says your reputation can't have been defamed if everyone already thought you were a piece of crap to begin with.

It was different with roberts smith- before the allegations everyone thought he was a golden boy.

Wayne however would be pushing the proverbial up hill trying to argue the casino or any media have defamed him given the mountains of evidence which support a claim that society already thought of him as a scumbag.

I think Mick Gatto ran into that issue when he tried to sue the ABC for defamation.

Truth is with the protection racket the AFL and their media partners run, what we know about Carey would be just the tip of the iceberg. You sue an organisation with the resources and contacts that Crown has and you better be sure there are no skeletons in the closet. A huge empty threat by Carey.

Kerry Stokes will pay the legals. He does that for all Channel 7 employees, right ?

I agree,

Australia have more marijuana users per capita than almost every country in the world, we'd have billions of dollars for roads, schools, hospitals etc. if we did the smart thing and taxed it.

Clothes and technology are a necessity though. I don’t need coke when magic mushrooms, nitrous oxide, beautiful sativa, dmt, ketamine, occasional gin and tonic etc. are all freely available.

That said, I do avoid companies like Apple who engage in practices I don’t approve of.
