Very likely?

Who was the last player to average 40 PPG?

Wilt Chamberlain did it not too long ago. In fact he did twice, for two difference teams in successive years.

I think it's very likely for Harden to do so.

Wilt did it a long, long time ago in a different era when he was the biggest guy out there playing pretty much the whole game.

Harden won't get close to 40PPG. Just because he did it in his first 2 games doesn't mean he will maintain it over the whole season. He won't get close. That is madness that call.

Fair chance he will go even bigger and push 45ppg.

Also, your sarcasm detector is broken.

You suck at detecting sarcasm as much as the Heat sucked today.

He was always going to be a gun, but he's gone to a new level this season. 30ppg, leading the comp! I think he was craving the starlight, and couldn't live in the shadows of Westbrook and Durant.

I think he would have been more than happy in OKC again doing the same role and having another crack at the title. But also knew he was capable of taking on the role of a star for a team.

But he didn't get paid, alot of people look down on it but in a game where your career is always just one injury away, it'd be somewhat crazy not to seek your payday as soon as you can while the iron is hot (J Lin), after you've earned boatloads it's a different story (Miami Heat stars taking cuts).
