All blacks by 12points over the valley
Big test for the blacks haven't really played anyone yet the valley should test them.

The bats by 19points over Glenrowan
The bats will simply be to fast for the tigers who I think may be underdone and not settled yet if there's anytime for the bats to get them it's now especially the tigers coming off a 4day slog in the wet!

Greta by 24points over the doon
Greta wanna play finals they need to win these games!

Moyhu by 8points over Milawa
I'm tipping moyhu in another close one, the 4day turn around will hurt the demons!

Tarra by 110points over Nth wang
I'm seeing a one sided affair but tipping tarra to kick 20plus points witch will lower the margin

Bright by 21points over the lions
Buckley to fill he's pockets!

I didn't take into account the 4 day break! That's gotta be tough to recover from.

Might make the games Milawa and Glenrowan are involved in a flip of the coin result now.

Agree totally with these comments. I'm not so sure about bright.

Benalla and Bats both by 2 goals.
Greta and BD could be an interesting one and will demonstrate how far both teams have changed in 9 months. Greta by 6.

I think this weeks games involving milawa and Glenrowan should have been scheduled on sunday. With only 4 days both sides will get done, especially with a bit of rain. Moyhu in a thriller (2pts) and the bats in a 2nd half demolition job by 5 goals.

Tarra by a bizzilion points (180+).
And Bright to get its s... together finally. 30pts

i think the o and k record team and individual goal kicking is up for grabs tmor if its a dry hoggan over 20 tarra over 50

All blacks to beat the Valley by 23
Glenrowan to beat GBat by 39
Greta over BDoon
Milawa over Moyhu by 26
Tarra over Nth Wang by 150 (15 for Hoggan).
Bright over Whorouly by 5

I think the Greta v Bonni Doon and Whorouly v Bright games should tell us a bit more about all 4 teams. If Bright don't get over Whorouly I think they are in for a long year.
GBats would want to be challenging Glenrowan this week if they think they are any chance of knocking them off come finals.

Just the 14 for hoggan today.

GBat by 12 goals
Greta by 50
Benalla by over 100. Games I expected to be a bit closer

I reckon it's time for those who said Milawa won't be a top six side this year to eat their words. Four day break, 70-point win over Moyhu, who at this stage appear to be the seventh best side in the comp...

Will definitely be a top 6 side. I didnt think Benalla and Goorambat would be as strong as they are though. Very impressive so far this year!

I'm starting to feel pretty good about tipping Benalla to finish third. Long way to go though, and they haven't played anyone of any consequence yet.

So - who's going to pick North Wang over Bright?

If it wasn't for the spanking Nth Wang got yesterday you would think there ain't much difference between bottom 5 clubs, looking at ladder for and against is pretty close.

Being at Bright I'd say home ground advantage.

What is everyones opinion on the league bringing in a points system so every club is equal and then they twist the rule and allow multiple clubs to have extra points.... you have teams that played finals last year allocated extra points this year and there flogging teams by over 100 points that are on less points. What is the point of bringing in a rule if it is continually broken

The extra points should only go to the bottom team that need help not teams who took advantage of it last year developed there team they all lost a point each for this year... there league should take a hard look at itself

I think some homework could help you understand how the system works and the league doesn't have anything to do with allocating additional points. You can read it all on line. Enlighten yourself

. In order to determine variances in the 48 point Total Team Points’ cap, Metropolitan Leagues and Region
Commissions should adopt the following guiding principles regarding the additional allocation or reduction of
Total Team Points to a Community Club:
8.2.1. Additional total team points may be allocated to a Community Club which is located in a region with a low
population base.
8.2.2. Additional total team points may be allocated if a Community Club did not qualify for finals in previous
seasons or has been promoted from previous seasons.
8.2.3. Reduction of total team points for multiple premierships and sustained success over previous seasons.
8.2.4. Additional total team points may be allocated if a Community Club endures significant hardship, lack of
success, is coming out of recess, or is a recently merged or restructured entity.
8.2.5. Additional total team points may be allocated where a Community Club has no U18 or U19 or younger
underage sides and is not capable of developing a junior program due to reasons outside of its control, or
if a Community Club is aligned with a university and the team is based around players coming and going
over a 3-4 year period.

What's everyones opinion on this? I think it is a great idea, the only thing I would think would need to happen would be that AWJFL and WDJFL would either have to dissapate or scrap their under 14 and under 16 comps, which would leave them with only under 12s, which could probably be integrated within the local leagues anyway. Kids could play on the same day, and at the same venue as their Fathers (and possibly even their Mothers) if this idea gets off the ground.

Quite frankly the u16 wang comp should have gone 5 yrs ago. O&k thirds should be u17. Teams train together in wang , myrtle each week. 18y.o can drive, can drink, can vote, can play senior footy. Might help the 2nds too.All other local leagues u17. Been pandering to wang junior league. Why?
Even clubs provide free bus for kids to games , instead of paying some never was been $500 a game.
Parents free entry and rip them off with coffee and pies!
Junior league u15. Even then , maybe they could play at 9 am at o&k games. 3rds 15 min qrts

Thats all a load of shit to me.... bring in rules everyone should be equal, growing up in life rules brought in should account for every one no compromise... the only thing i would agree is alowing the bottom team relief like a draft...

Tell me this then you can only get 1 point players from thirds.... how is that fair when half the league dont have thirds

My opinion is that the points system is a great idea, it's just a shame that it wasn't around 6-7 years ago. Might have prevented north wang and glenrowan buying flags

Someone should go thru and see how many points the two teams would have had when they won their respective flags (glenrowans first flag).

There's about 4 and a half people in bonnie doon surely they would be eligible for a couple extra points.
They might need them next year
