Im not saying that they won't be in the top 5 midfielders at the end of the season, but how can you say they are in top 5 O&K midfielders after 4 matches in the league?? Some teams haven't played Whorouly & K/Valley so until they play against the best midfielders from each club, we should maybe reserve our opinions!
Sure Williams is a proven O&M player, and Archibald has been on an AFL list, but O&K football is completely different! I agree that they have nothing to prove to anyone in the O&K, but they still have to perform and if they are this good they should be performing week in week out.

So do you also believe Finton Eames shouldn't be in the squad? He has only been on the field as a player once this year.

My personal opinion is that you can't pick a squad based solely on the handful of games that have been played this year. I think last years form and general reputation has to be taken into account because you want the best players to represent the league.

EDIT: Actually, I don't think you made the original comment a few pages back about the squad being selected based on this year form alone. My bad!

HK, Greta has six enforced changes too including Belly & Dacca whose still pretty sore after his Mark of the Year attempt last week. Knackers McGuire is a big in for us though. He may play forward in Belly's absence. I hope you're right about it being close.

Whorouly were too strong all over ground. Apart from that one incident & Archibalds antics throughout the game it was a good,fair, hard fought game. That said, not one Whorouly player or official stayed for a drink after the game.

Sounds the same as when we played you guys and Axe`slid into Nicho, he wound up at the tribunal........Sounds like Archibald will fit in well out there.....By antics what do you mean, was it something else other than that incident....

Let me say up front I'd never seen the guy play. The footy record listed him as No:10 yet he wore No:11, so I had no idea who he was at first. To explain his "antics", at centre bounces he'd line up @ CHF, charge in off the square at 100mph & if he missed the ball he'd simply keep going & take out the first player in his path. It was blatantly obvious.

Think Bunyip may be exagerating it a tad. He's played mainly in the middle from the couple of games I've seen. Certainly throws his body around and doesn't mind crunching blokes, but I haven't seen anything I would call dirty.

Fair enough Nonch. It was when he didn't line up in the middle where it was obvious, probably only did it 3-4 times though. He's a big bloke with large square shoulders so you couldn't miss him charging in. The free kick & 50 paid against him was a very crude effort & put a player in hospital. I'd suggest the Whorouly boys may tell him to tone it down a bit or risk suspension.

bunyip i saw the game. archy is a mountain, hes quick as lightening and hits the packs like a bull. This is why he got drafted by richmond, the hit was side on chris should have passed it off instead of dodging tackles. tell me this would you be whinging if archy was on your team???
