Nah, he's ok..

Afterall it's his sources that provide the info.... :D

I heard from a very reliable source that DOSA's key backman Michael Pace is flirting with the idea of a move across to OHA. There is said to be no payment involved but my source tells me that Pace enjoys playing in the Geilston Bay mud?

Don't the Chickens need to put on a SENIOR COACH before chasing guys like Standen as Assistant Coach? Haven't heard a thing about possible senior coaches for them? Surely Standen wouldn't leave a club like Clarence for a club that lost to Channel? Unless it's an offer he can't refuse?

Ship Stirrer, I was talking to my OHA source and was wondering if you could confirm or correct me. Was told that it will be a very different OHA side in 2012.
JURY and UNSWORTH are off to WA for work.
WHITELAW, MCCULLAM, RYAN, BANNISTER, ZAKAUSKAS, ARCHER, BOWERING, ROGERS not playing or retired.
LANGFORDS (Brodie and Ben) to TSL (Clarence/Lauderdale).
Thats more than half the side..... That'd be bad news

I'm not sure why you quoted my previous comment but I'll answer it anyway. I've not spoken to too many of the lads from the club but my understanding is Whitelaw will be non-playing coach, Jury to WA (who didn't play in the finals anyway) and most of the possible retirements you list are in to their 30s so wouldn't surprise me. I alluded to this in a previous post. My advice is don't believe too much of what you hear this time of year as I remember powerooblue telling us all Whitelaw was returning to Clarence next year and he got that a touch wrong didn't he! Time will tell.

Looking at last years performance, the club would try and get some of these players to play on. They will feel much better after a few weeks without training, and will rethink their futures. All or most of these players are still playing really good footy.

That is the most arrogant statement i have heard in a long time. I'm sure this is not the typical view of most OHA players & supporters alike. I reckon Channel & maybe DOSA might keep this in the memory bank for a while. If you believe the talk about all the players your losing next year i reckon a lot of people will take pleasure in OHA getting done by both Channel & DOSA.

Are you for real? Last time we played the Chickens we had 30 goals up our sleeve with players out and Channel did not score a goal last time we played them. DOSA would need Standen to bring some Clarence team mates with him and for us to lose all the players Arigold mentioned for it to even be close! Gonna be a long time before either of those two clubs get close to beating the best in the business, something I'm sure even their most ardent supporters would agree with!

What kind of fishing lure are you using? It seems to be having some success.... :D

fingers crossed the Saints (Sharks) can knock off the Shits, i mean Ships to shut the stirrer up. Channels time will come just wait and see and i hope OHA are on the recieving end of it.

Get real! They are probably spending the most of any club now and look where they were. Same as the other year when they got all the so called stars from Claremont, that worked out well didn't it! Throwing mega money at muppets! Darcy+Joyce+Clark to name but a few would have been paid nearly as much as any two other clubs combined. Take it from me, spending money doesn't equal success. As for when Channels day will come, don't hold your breath, all their good kids head off to play with kingborough now, so gonna struggle to get them coming through. But hey don't panic, ya can just buy some more past their best recruits!

You're on here calling people muppets when you have said before that you don't even play for OHA? Do you actually play football or do you just go around nut hugging all the OHA boys?

Channel have improved a lot in the last season, they only require a couple of good players to make them really competitive. If they can get the footy to DARCY, and JOYCE they will kick a bag full of goals. They are heading in the right direction.

What is the Old Scholars comp all about then buddy? I wouldn't have thought it would be a comp to further your career. Some might disagree but i play at this level cause i can play with my mates and it's not taking super seriously, also good cause you get guys coming back who have played at higher levels but choose not to anymore. So whats wrong with a club like channel who we have beaten quite easily in the past only to see them turn it around a bit by maybe paying a few dollars? And don't worry, if your in the know, you would be aware the ships hand out a few thick envelopes regularly!

how reliable is your source on this VT? i heard a north player but must admit it did'nt sound like this guy.

I was speaking to a North player he said that Fisher was going as an assistant coach and Justin Vietch was going to play aswell.

I dont know where he got his info but he seemed confident that this was a done deal.

Whats going on with the CHICKENS they seem to be making some big moves?

veitch was probably the one i'd heard of. after last season i reckon they needed to add a fair bit of talent & experience. good to see dosa a bit more competitive next year. can only be good for the comp.

I know that Michael Fisher, Jeff's younger brother had a meeting with Glenorchy last week and with Hobart yesterday. He is looking for a new home after having a run in with Grant Riley the footy director at North. If he doesn't play state league he is looking at Dosa in some coaching capacity but is unsure yet. Nothing confirmed but if he played old scholars it would likely he would follow his brother to DOSA.
