So what everyone's thoughts of the season so far? Everybody has played each other once.
Are OHA that good?
Are DOSA that bad to be on the bottom?
Will Channel win another game somewhere?
Which players are going real well?
Who's left a club or who's coming back? Any bad injuries?

OHA are the best side so far They are very good
Dosa struggle with their bottom 6-8 players. Will win the spoon
Channel will win again this year. Big improvers.
Saints have a lot of heart but lack depth
Hutchins will be in the grandfinal and are a well polished side
Richmond are my smokeys
Uni seem to have come back to the field a little after two years up near the top.

But its only the end of the first round anything could happen.

Players that I have seen that have impressed this year Mitch Baker ,Mick Collis ,S jury, T Gibbons, Creese and Gilmour

^^^Biggest **** stick in the comp

I see your S.Jury and raise you a F.Reeves. Watched my first game in tasmania for 3 yrs and haven't see a bigger tool in my life. Give him credit he kicked 10 from 10 kicks but celebrates like he has kicked goal of the year after every one of them. No wonder nobody likes him and he has been around so many clubs. Back in the day he would have got 1 delebration in and a defender would have knocked him clean out i reckon

From what I've heard, it'd be a good idea not to say this to his face!

You havent had the pleasure of seeing him out on the town then Barge?

Doesnt matter if you say it to his face or if your not looking, he will still get you.;)

Different brand of tools.
One is crazy as **** and the other has a man crush on himself.

All I was saying is what you said in your last post, I'd heard from my Ships sources that he'd near rather a fight than a feed!

As opposed to our friend Lachrilly!

Barge out on the town? I don't go out any more. Mostly to avoid stampedes of my fans!

Too many people in confined spaces is a recipe for disaster!

Harsh but fair Bargey. Im glad i moved away because i reckon i would be 150kgs if i had stayed. Havent stopped eating since ive been here. And yesterday at the footy, it was too cold to have a beer and thats just plain wrong in my book.

Just wondering how hard it'd be to break into a senior side in this league next year?? As I have to work until 12:30 every Saturday I could only play Seniors, I'm 22 and played at Brighton the last year of the SFL Premier League ( when it was a southern based comp ). Played the first 3 senior games and broke my wrist and season ended. Really looking to play in this league rather than the new SFL as the travel isn't as harsh with me finishing work late on Saturdays.....

If big Nick Cleary from Hutchins doesn't make it into the team of the year it is a disgrace. Easily the best ruckman in the competition, no one can match him in the ruck contests. hasnt been beaten once this year, gives hutchins midfielders first use and is vital to their structure. Missed the game against Richmond that Hutchins lost, a game that they would have won easily if Cleary was playing. Not sure about Collis from St.Virgils either, does he deserve to be there? hasn't done much since he kicked a bag one game? has he been injured? Matty Lister might be a better choice? im not a hutchins supporter id just like to point out, but the team of the year should not be picked based solely on the biggest names in the competition.

Would be a big ask for Baines to watch the Forward Pocket and Centre Half Forward, wouldn't it, lol!

I must ask before someone else does, how could you possibly leave out the biggest name to join the Old Scholars in recent years, Ben Van Kraanen?

I've not seen too much OSFA footy this year, but Trent Whitelaw would have to be good enough to get a birth wouldn't he? Or hasn't he done a lot, concentrating more so on coaching?

Ships would have to have more than 4 contenders, surely?

Whitelaw in easily. Trent Moore also. Possibly McCallum who is averaging 3 goals per game. If Bowering gets back from overseas, he would also be close. Has kicked 20 from 4 games.

As big as Stewart Beechey and Gavin Cooney to OHA?

COONEY??? I don't reckon he'd play Old Scholars now! If he was ever going to play he would've played when McCullam was Coach. He was interviewed on ABC during half time of Clarence v Glenorchy and he said he's been training hard for a marathon or half marathon.

Saw BEECHEY amongst goal kickers for OHA reserves the other week against Channel, so he's a possibilty to be at OHA. Or was that another BEECHEY? Surely he could get into the senior side at OHA if it was.
