Well have been on the DOSA band wagon for the last couple of weeks, but after been at the game today i have come to the conclusion that they are done and dusted, apart from the brilliance of one Scott Allen they did not look like touching the ball, there other forwards dont look interested and the midfielders dont seem to know where the back 50 is i must congratulate the DOSA defence for not throttling there midfielders. By the way would like to congratulate the reserves on dismantling the once feared Hutchins team

The DOSA reserves team didn't actually have to do too much, as one Daniel Dwyer put on an absolute clinic.. 3 goals from the midfield and single handedly teared Hutchins to shreds, along with a VERY supportive backline :thumbsu:

I'm surprised that the backline in the ones didn't throttle the mids, as it was one way traffic for a lot of the game.. With only a couple of backman capable of stopping the forward "thrusts" from Hutchins namely S Beattie and C Golding...

Was talking to a DOSA Senior Player yesterday and when I said they seem to be coming good at the right time his reply was "We're making up the numbers!"

Wonder what his thoughts would have been after today.

Well if that's true its a disgrace and he doesn't deserve to be playing for the roosters!! It's one thing to have an opinion but to voice it to somebody who OBVIOUSLY can't keep their mouth shut is just plain wrong. Ordinary from whoever said it and nearly as bad from the poster for putting it forward, internet kudos doesn't score too many points with anyone i wouldn't of thought. Unfortunate for those who think it does i guess:eek::rolleyes:

abit of luck you will stay off the dosa bandwagon ya knob,1 game dont make the end of the season,as for the other forwards they did enough when the ball is deliverd to them which was not always the case as i saw, matt honey kicked 4 goals 4 with limited chances, lunny worked hard up the ground, you got one thing right on ballers was very lazy, lets see whayt you have to say after next week.

Richmond had 6 out apparantly, not sure who, OHA had 1, Couldn't make it but from all accounts the ships hit some good form finally, how good i suppose we will see next week.

Firstly, I'm not overly concerned with "internet kudos" from you lot.

Secondly, the person in question, who won't be named, was simply being honest and not getting over excited with last week's win over OHA like the DOSA contingent did on here.

And finally for what it's worth, I wasn't going to mention it at all, did so for the reason that my last sentence clearly shows.

With some of the bad losses they've suffered during the year, do you guys seriously think Scott Allen hasn't on ocassions privately doubted the boys to his close friends away from the club?

DOSA couldn't win the flag in 2004 and 2005 when they were flying so I can't see it happening this year sadly.

What did happen yesterday? Did they think after pipping OHA on the post that against Hutchins it would all fall in to place?

Well I must of been playing in a different game then, always easy for blokes to kick goals and get easy kicks when you are in front by 100, but it is in the heat of the moment when it counts!:D. The Roosters looking promising in the 2's, Be nice to beat the Saints this week and go straight in.

Credit where credits due Hutchins are a bloody great side and barring the injuries they have had, probably would of won the Flag had they scraped into the finals. Egan was fantastic all day and Cat with 9 was impressive. I dont think the issue always lies with the DOSA mids as you all suggest maybe it is caused by the little pressure put on by the forwards:confused: Doesn't help the Mids when the Hutchins Half backs are doing as they like??? I dont think the DOSA mids are any where as bad as you guys seem to think! Carroll / abrahams / penright these guys would play in any midfield in the OSFA.

Gee you blokes are quick to bag the DOSA midfield:thumbsdown: As I asked the question before, Is it the midfielders or infact the forward line which under lies the issue:confused: C'mon the midfield can easily look ordinary when they are competing with a couple of extra half backers in the mix!!! From your post one would think you play in the Fwd Line - maybe instead of bagging blokes we should work together!

OSFA Finals Heat Up!

Well Huge week coming up for the OSFA, Up for grabs I think:D
I think Oha will scoop the pool against Richmond, and the Roosters should do the same against the Saints:eek:, Any Thoughts???

Great side is a big call, some good players running around for them but no great side and results have shown this. And not to sure on the winning the flag call some other good sides running around too. Its funny how peoples comments change from one week to another on here.

Like all the sides in the top 4 of late it depends which team turns up on the day to see how they go

The ships killed them last week but Richmond rested around 6 apparantly, so hard to know see what affect this will have this week, rumour has it a couple of the richmond top line players are caring injuries into this week. The ships have a good record up there but richmond could come out and do anything, the ships by 30 for me they really seemed to hit form last week and will cary this into this week.

If the roosters turn up to play i would back them on recent form (appart from last week) I think this one will be very close. After being up there most of the year dont expect the saints to lay down to easy without a huge fight and if they get back to full strengh can play well enough to win this one.

The roosters by 10

Reading this thread between August 23 and August 30 one could be forgiven for thinking the flag was DOSA's to lose!

I'll back OHA in both the seniors and reserves, but it seriously wouldn't surprise me if Richmond get up in the 1's..

In the St Virgils v DOSA double header, both games could go either way. I'll back The Roosters in the senior game and am still undecided in the 2's game, but on the back of the last time they played will go DOSA, just..

Reading this thread over the last few days one could be forgiven for wishing you wouldn't read or post in it:eek:

Geez you're a precious lot up there aren't ya!

Did I say something wrong in pointing out ya's were talking yourselves up as contenders after beating the Ships but after losing to the Hutchins Boys ya's were back with the pack?

Not real keen when things don't all go according to plan are ya's!
