Dude... they didnt turn on anyone, they evolved. And true fans evolved with them. Their new stuff is different yes, but it still freaking rocks.

ok well i'm just saying what i think, and they used to be one of my favourite bands when they played heavier stuff. they used to rock out shows, get the crowd pumping. see their recent homebake set? don't think i even saw one person in the crowd move. i am just a fan of heavier music, and if u see some of the negative reactions coming as a result of their new single, u will find that most of the hardcore fans feel betrayed by their new wave of commercial pop/rock. its just disappointing, i can accept evolution, but when a great band changes that much it ruins everything that has made them what they are.

I'm a big fan of the new stuff - Johns' songwriting has matured along with his voice. Love where it's going too.

Like some people have said they have evolved and I guess I have with them. I loved their old stuff but am really keen to get their new album. What I have heard is great so I reckon it will be well listened to in my house. I have liked the way their music has changed and personally I don't want to hear the same album released every year or so....

The band has evolved - grunge died along time ago. So would have Silverchair if they continued to release a rehashed version of Frogstomp.

not asking for them to keep releasing versions of Frogstomp. i was a fan of neon ballroom and that was completely different to Frogstomp. Just looking for some actual rock music, that will get the crowd pumping.
