Ed Dayman played his junior footy in Wang. Played 3rds for Rovers and a couple of injury riddled years under Crezza (had some shoulder issues if I remember right)
Moved down Geelong way and has spent the last few seasons playing for Ocean Grove.
Has already committed to returning to Ocean Grove in 2025.
A number of players on both sides had their fair share of turnovers, I thought Murray won a couple of important disputed balls during the day. Thought Filo was very good, brilliant big game player. Cattapan was excellent as was Dayman. Agree with the coverages assessment of Christie at FF, he gave rovers a different look and was important. Stopping W. Wheeler was super important, 16 touches to the half and very few after that.

First time watching an O&M game all year, well done to the Rovers on breaking the drought.
Great coverage on the stream, much better camera work and commentary than any other league.
Parnell was fantastic and got them over the line, I thought he was BOG. Cattapan very good too.
For the Pidgeons, Pendergast was solid down back, he looks a player and was probably their best for me. Not many of their big names stepped up... Gibbons went missing when the pressure was on, Williams had a dirty day in front of the sticks and Wheeler was well held in the 2nd half.

The two Corowa boys played well throughout the year and certainly on the day too. If they go back to Corowa I’d imagine it would be with the best wishes of all involved at Rovers.

Agree, Gibbons got under the skin of rovers players in the first half, he & Wheeler sucked a few in.
As you’ve said, both had little impact when it mattered late in the game.

crowd wasn't at full strength cause no one from albury wodonga would be interested, how many supporters do you think rocked up to see albury twos play, alot of people on the fence would have not bothered expecting a semi final redo. special mention to yarra midfielders spending more time wacking players behind play then flopping when a strong breeze came thru looked pathetic.

Albury struggles to attract people to go watch the ones
With the quality of the live stream on YouTube, it might get harder and harder to attract the neutrals to finals now.
Also who wants to go to drink mid strength piss!

Yep, Make it pay per view. I was guilty of falling for the convenience of it for the Tallangatta granny, $10 to access the stream wouldn't be outrageous. If the crowd numbers keep falling things are going to get dire sooner rather than later!

I felt that tackle from Williams on Parnell in the last qtr from all the way down here in Melbourne

Crowd was disappointing in numbers
weather and surface excellent
First quarter umpires were too hot on the whistle.
Yarras kicking at goal was terrible( and cost them dearly )as was Rovers field kicking
Thought Cattapan was brilliant winning plenty of footy and grunt
Murray and Filo racked them up but kicking let them down however the yardage they gained was crucial
Parnell and the key forward no 8 ? important
When Rovers ran and played on thats what won them the game but when they choked up in the last 20 minutes and tried to play slow possession football this allowed Yarra to launch an assault and near pinch it
Number 9 for Yarra along with Gibbons busted their arse and no 63 is gunna be a star
Game lacked atmosphere for the first 3/4 and only livened up in the last
Half time game was super and a great dose of reality for us all
Will be back again.

I thought that kick was longer than 15m. He tried cleaning up a few throughout the game Williams.

Thought it was borderline but that fact that he thought it was should have given him so leeway. Should have been a ball up for mine. The umpire obviously thought "he should have heard me yell play on", you can't be guessing what the players think or hear imo. Was one hell of a tackle though !!!

They wouldn't be able to charge, they have stated that you shouldn't have to pay for live streaming so cant go back on that.

Gee Yarra must be dirty with the Footy team losing, not one thing about their Loss congratulating them on the great season or anything on their Social media. Just shows that they may have gotten ahead of themselves. Any Confirmation where Stevie J will bob up?

Johno, the faithfull wanted him gone a week after last years granny. As for the "we" i was referring to everyone on here who also picked Yarra and didn't realise that the heart has been ripped out of the club. Playing infront of no supporters must be disheartening!
