Yeah he did the miniscues as well, and that's way nastier. They try to stitch it together by mostly it doesn't heal and then they go back in and clip off the bits that are flapping about and causing pain.
Unfortunately possible he will play sore for the rest of career.

From what Cam said re Eric's injury (doing the meniscus as well as the ACL) any sooner that 12 months seems unrealistic. Might even take a touch longer, but hopefully not.

would think the most likely list changes are ballenden, Birchall and A Smith who are all rookies… that opens room for CEY and perhapsnother contracted player to be rookies.
Did we sign lane in mid season draft for 6 or 18 months? If he hasn’t developed at all he may just be let go (although unlikely)
then as people have said those untried guys will be a bit of a coin toss based on things we don’t see outside the 4 walls of the club.

Well I certainly hope we keep him on, or we can pick up a more mature option at the very least. Because I would be surprised (to say the least) if Archie were to be kept on.

I've never seen him look anything close to an AFL footballer in the preseason games I've watched.
Hipwood's knee was early July (rd 17) against St Kilda.
So early April for running, early July for games. At a guess, somewhere near round 17

Yes. I think we'll want Hipwood for next year's finals series, so no LTI list for him.
If we could get a decent enough tall to come in who can play a role, it wouldn't be the worst thing ever to put Hippy on the long term injury list and give him the entire season to get that knee right as he mangled it really, really badly. Even if he is back for finals, will he be 'back' in terms of being the Eric we know and love?

Nah, he will just kick 100% at goal instead when he comes back at finals time and we'll love him even more for it as a result

I assume we have another LTI by the time he is ready can they swap over?
Really with knee your down a player for most of the year
The timing of Hippy will be interesting. Will need a decent run before finals.

It has to be early this week you would think, I'm still thinking A&B Smith are the definite delists as they are OOC, CEY and E.Smith OOC 2022 will be asked to explore options elsewhere.
Joyce and Ballenden OOC but I'm conflicted re what happens with them.
If we're drafting a KPP and keeping Fullarton, then I don't see any reason to keep Ballenden around.
Because Hipwood is out for most of the year, Daniher is historically very injury prone, Fullarton is borderline delistable himself and our KPDers have shown themselves to be very injury prone as well. So I am not adverse to keep a bit of insurance.

I like Ballenden although like to use a spot for a mature ruck to play forward while Hippy is out.
I wonder if we're a chance of only cutting three off our list (B Smith, A Smith, Birchall), and only taking two in the draft and upgrading a rookie for our third list change.
Would take moving three players down to the rookie list (e.g. CEY, E Smith, McFadyen), and looking to move our third/early fourth picks into the future.
To make more moves than that means delisting Joyce and/or Ballenden, or moving out contracted players.

The draftee provides the insurance. If we're keeping a veteran KPP around for depth, I want someone who can ruck better than Fullarton.
Who is the veteran KPP in this scenario? Both Ballenden and Fullarton are 22yo.
