Except we had the top end talent of Martin, Cotchin, Riewoldt, Rance, Edwards, Grimes. Hawthorn haven't got that. As soon as they play a team with more talent who match them for intensity, they lose.

I saw the recent thread on players of the 00s where the names of Ablett, Buddy etc were mentioned and rightfully so. Where does the Bont sit in this? He is having the 2nd highest rated season of all time currently and should be a 2 x Brownlow winner (robbed). Is just about to notch up his 6th AA...

System and skill has them rolling, but elite talent drags teams over the line in crucial moments.
It will be interesting to see how far they go.
