Well put.

It's all about social engineering today, regardless of how hypocritical. And the AFL see's itself as a social agenda setter.

Brainwash the masses as to how to think and behave. No room for questioning, or heaven forbid, critical thinking.

Anyone who thinks they live in the free country of Australia circa 2024 is either in La La Land or a Gen Z that believes the shit that's been shoved down their throat.
I have totally no idea what you're talking about.

Well said mate. 👌

From today’s Age.

  • The function was paid for by the club, which did not receive any sanction from the AFL. The league took the view that the players, not the officials, bore responsibility for what unfolded, an AFL source explained.
  • Coaches had been at the party early, from noon until about 1pm and while some had seen individual costumes, they were not aware of the context of the controversial couples theme. Senior players Josh Kelly (surgery) and Steven Coniglio (facial fractures) did not attend. A total of 42 players were present.
It was a work function, you dumb ****ing flogs.

I won't believe it until some millennial influencer tells us it was a work function.

Tom Lynch is overpaid according to Collingwood fan 😂 Without getting him as a free agent we don't win the 2019 and 2020 flags

At the same time the Pies gave up 2 first round picks for Dayne Beams.😂

Just because it’s a work function doesn’t make it right. I could give so many examples then you wouldn’t be saying that.

Falling Down Oops GIF by Minnesota State University Moorhead
GIF looks eerily similar to a GWS skit. Too soon?

Really? Or are you taking the p!ss?

You're someone who's almost always on the ball.
Nah, you've seriously lost me. I'm just not sure what rights I'm supposed to have lost?

I'm a straight, white, middle-aged, upper-middle class, non-disabled, professional male - Vlad The Impaler could get into power and it's pretty safe to be my rights wouldn't be diminished all that much. Life's great.

Of course, our world doesn't allow me to be as much of an arseh*le as I once might've got away with.

You don't like the way the AFL is run.

You are free to stop following it, attending it or watching it. microwave your membership on youtube, you'll be a legend.

You're free to get yourself onto the RFC board & make change.

You're on a internet forum, freely expressing opinion. You don't have that in half the countries on the planet.

You don't like the government in power you are free to vote them out.

You can debate the power of voting to change anything. But that's Australia.

Australia is a free country lmao

Free country doesn't mean freedom of ridicule or consequence.

Free country means you won't be killed or sent to jail for life for your opinion/thoughts

In ancient times, people would be decapitcated if they offended their Kings. Yet being offended is apparently only some modern phenomenan according to some here. and yet we are some horribly oppressive country because we don't want a bunch of larrikans simulating sexual assaults at public venues :$

History is littered with examples of people getting offended, even over things no one would even give a second thought to now.

We still live in the lucky country despite the changing landscape not just here but around the world and things out of control of the common man and women. I don't support the left or the right, makes my critical thinking even more important when trying to block out the biased opinions of others. Be happy within yourself, go your own way and just be kind to people in general. This is only a forum and I like to keep an open mind. Peace Tiger Breatherin.

I define similar to you.

However, if my values and religious beliefs don't believe in the promotion of homosexuality then I'm considered a homophobe. I dare not speak up against this, even though I have nothing against those people and certainly don't believe in persecuting them. But, the AFL, as a vehicle, is happy to promote this and the rest of the alphabet soup brigade.

Where was the debate around The Voice? Anyone who dared argue against it was labelled a racist. Questioning and critiquing this was consequently shut down.

BLM. Yeah, so do white, red, yellow. George Floyd was a criminal, yet the western world canonised him. You dare not speak against this saint.

I can go on and on.

I have seen a massive change in this country over the last 3 or 4 decades. Many changes for the better, but, freedom of speech no longer exists if your views are opposite to the narrative. The vocal minority howl you down. And worse still, young children are being indoctrinated into believing the narrative in our school system.

No I don't like the way the AFL is run.

If I didn't have this 55+ year love affair with the RFC I would stop following the AFL.

You make me laugh, yeah I'm on an internet forum but do you think I can freely express my opinions? If I did I'd be suspended or removed, even if I did so in a respectful way.

Voting in elections is a right I respect. But you tell me what differentiates the two major political parties apart from some social issues; now that Hawke/Keating and finally Howard reset the economic landscape to reflect what the conservatives always wanted.

But kids being indoctrined that being gay is wrong, that there is a god that will send them to hell for not worshipping him is totally fine, right?
