This just reminds me of the AFL always calling the Essendon doping regime as a "supplement" scandal and not drugs or doping.

Should've been given the rest of the season, the same soft stance they did with Shaw.
If that was Dusty we wouldn't be seeing him until this time next year IMO because i reckon he would get the straight 22 games with zero suspended.

So AMIRITE in saying that cumulative suspensions totalling 16 weeks leads to a life time ban? Or have I not got my facts right? It would be interesting to see what triggers the suspended 12 weeks, I'm assuming it would be gambling related.
These bets, although minimal, had the potential to alter the course of a game and therefore should be dealt with harshly, he should have been suspended for the rest of this year, including finals......not just H & A.

a. the sixteen (16) matches served Suspension relates to Suspensions imposed as a result of Reportable Offences under the Laws of Australian Football; and
b. match ineligibility or sanctions received by a Player in relation to breaches of the AFL Anti- Doping Code (as amended from time to time) are not to be counted in determining accumulated Suspensions under this Policy;"
So I'm wondering if the gambling code is part of the 'reportable offences'

what's with this suspended sentence BS... should be 22 weeks 100%, or make it a round 26 weeks to ensure it's an entire season worth of games. scum behaviour.
