an apt description i reckon.

on a bit of a tangent. we gave sheeds his start and developed him yet he sees himself as an essendoom person as i see it.

Two reasons, spent more seasons there and was an Essendon supporter as a kid.
His mum never wavered and was a staunch Tiger until the end.

To be fair, he did coach there for a long time, and basically did a Benny Gale, turning them from a joke of a club into a powerhouse. He was also one of the instigators of the Dreamtime game, and ensured Richmond was involved, even when we were still a crap team.

So really he is the father of the modern Essendon Football Club. But no doubt Richmond is not his primary interest. It’s time for us to let him go.

You could not have a Dreamtime game without Essendon or Richmond.

The reason the Dreamtime game was created specifically for the Dons and the Tigers, is that the colours of both teams combined are the same as the aboriginal flag.

That's why I laugh at oppo supporters saying that the Dreamtime game should be shared amongst the other clubs.
