. The AFL, in overseeing a system that allowed him to escape sanction for it, has not only let down Ah Chee, but every past player with traumatic lifelong issues arising from their head knocks, about whose experiences the league have repeatedly promised to learn from.


Failing to act would be to establish a precedent that will leave players far more liable to be concussed during a game, in a manner that can quite readily be rectified.

This sums it up, it's a huge joke that Cripps got off, hope Karma ensures the blues get bundled out of the eight!

Pretty odd decision I must say. Shrouded somewhat by legal gobbledegook also which makes it tough for supporters and players to comprehend the rules.
There would be no argument from anyone that the act was high impact and severe. Regardless of Cripps ‘having eyes on the ball’ it also looked careless ie he had other options to contest the ball without colliding with the head.
