Dogs have won 8 of the last 10 and beaten every top 8 side they’ve faced bar Brisbane. Seems pretty consistent to me.

There’s a reason why they’re 8th despite winning 8 out of the last 10. They’ve built themselves a reputation of flakiness by losing games they should win. That’s why they keep finishing out of the top 4 all these years. They even lost to last year’s terrible West Coast side in Melbourne.

Even this year, they lost to a 1-6 Hawthorn and got pumped by a Port Adelaide side in ordinary form. Yet they smash a Fremantle side that thumped Melbourne and dismantle Sydney at the SCG.

They’re really keeping this season interesting. Them and Fremantle funnily enough. I’m enjoying what they’re bringing.

as expected, Shitney peaked too early in the season like many past teams. Hard to pick a premier from here. Brisbane are my pick especially if it is an interstate v interstate final, given they have finals experience and a squad at its peak, but they will need some of their backline back to do that. Carlton still a chance if they can get a favourable finals draw but I wouldn’t be betting my house on their ability to avoid a choke
