Why they hate us?
We were supposed to lose in 17, take a gf appearance as a pat on the back, and then go back to being shit.

We ****ed them with no lube and they can't handle it.

Random rant, but the AFL website needs a complete overhaul. Not only is it ugly, clunky to use and an eyesore to users - its content is just f-ing messed up.

BARRETT: When Ken's time runs out, Port must call this club great

.....
When it is determined Hinkley's time at Port is done, there is a candidate who must be approached: Nathan Buckley.

Tha AFL website is NOT the place to be making opinion commentary over coaches who are currently employed being possibly sacked & replaced - ESPECIALLY with suggesting of options ie Nathan Buckley.

Feel like this type of article has no place on the Official AFL website. Ken is the coach. He is contracted. Articles about him being replaced can be done by the plethora of 3rd party AFL "journalist" employed by the media. There is no reason the AFL's own website needs to have "opionions", it just needs to report neutrally on the news of the day.

A very cynical AFL supporter would likely suggest this is the AFL's way of trying to manifest OUT a coach who has never chosen to bow to the AFL overlords & then replace him with a FAR more agreeable, currently Fox Footy employee who is 100% an AFL "Yes man" in Nathan Buckley.

The AFL needs to back the **** OFF on the interference it is having on the game & just get back to overlooking the running of the comp in a impartial manner.

They are legit off the leash over there.

been glued to the Port sacking Stinkley thread over there for 36 hrs now, fascinating reading, theyre onto Gatekeepers Wankley n Corneyholes protective friendship with Ken(wankleys is Geelol aligned) and pointed out that Karens lastest comments to'search far n wide for the best candidate out there' is purely a protective narrative to save his bothers caboose bc if Carr gets the job ol chadbro is gonski.

they rkn as soon as ken leaves or gets sacked Karen will be laying the boots into the new coach within weeks Bevo style deluxe something hes nevr done to Stinkley bc of his brothers & the CFL's affilliation, the supporter base cant stand the grub that is Canetoad Kornes n they rkn his former teammates loath him even more to the point they were glad he workd on saturday instead of attending the 20 yr premiership reunion 😂

the hinkley jobs for mates, protection rackett driven by Cornes, Wankley & the CFL these past 5 years finally unravelling.

Eagles re signed Yeo 31 years old for 3 years!!

Crazy to give a player with such a long injury history 3 years at his age.

Other sides bluffed them into it

Yeah … I honestly have no idea what the Weagles are doing. Even giving up quality draft picks for Baker is crazy IMO - other than Reid and Ginbey their youth looks way too light on and I’d be working hard to get 2-3 more first rounders over the next 2 x drafts.

Clubs were coming for Yeo … he’s a gun, but at 31yo if you could get a late first and free up $2.7m of cap space over 3-years, why not call his bluff and do it … it has Deledio type opportunity written all over it, where we got maximum value from an injury prone 29yo and his trade helped us build a dynasty list.

Danger could shank someone on field and they’d say showed duty of care not to hit an artery

He has executed a dangerous tackle in a manner that is simply no longer allowed, and it was dangerous. He grabbed hold of Walsh, pinned both arms at speed, totally lowered his own body weight to the ground and this resulted in Walsh's head hitting the ground and Walsh had no way of protecting himself. The potential to cause injury is obvious.

Dangerfield has somehow successfully argued that because he didn't execute the tackle in an even more dangerous manner therefore the tackle did not constitute rough conduct.

Marlion Pickett or Rhyan Mansell same scenario the Tribunal would say potential to cause injury, therefore suspension. In this Dangerfield case the Tribunal doesn't seem to have even mentioned any potential to cause injury. It is just so obvious there is bias at play in these cases.

So Dangerfield has destroyed Vlastuin with both a forearm to the face and knee to the groin at full speed. Since 2020 he has marmalised Kelly with a horrendous head first late and unnecessary bump that results in Kelly's face being smashed beyond recognition and missing many weeks. And now he has dangerously tackled Walsh at speed pinning his arms and causing his head to hit the ground.

And for the 3 actions, he has received a total of 3 weeks suspension. Vlastuin and Kelly should have been about 6 weeks each and this Walsh tackle should have been a week but only due to Walsh not being injured.

I think they are doing whatever they need to keep Harley happy. I do not think it affects the Eagles greatly in terms of putting them in a bad position, the club has bounced a little, better than a few years ago

Agree, gutter journalism has no place on an official AFL platform it's a shocking look. Keep this nasty shit in the back of the HUN.

I saw it differently, I hate danger but didn't think it was dangerous. Walsh exacerbated it and flung his head into the ground.

They wanted another season’s worth of games out of him, with his injuring record a 3 year contract should in theory achieve just that.

Even the AFL app is annoying as! For some reason, you cant see information about state leagues and have to go to the AFL website for that! By this point, the AFL website is going to become to herald sun but worse

Purple Parrot - the same "official AFL journalist" that started the campaign against us getting an early second round compo pick for Ellis that ended with us getting gypped with pick 39 , a campaign which I'm sure was totally of his own volition and not at all a conflict of interest or completely at odds with him saying absolutely nothing the previous year about the generous compo WC got for Lycett despite it being the exact same situation (25 year old player from the defending premiers)....
