how have sides made a prelim cos of umpiring favouritism all year and we are not there because of it and nobody says sh*t

why is it ok for colonwood to use our gameplan and get sucked off all the way to a prelim by umpires yet we get shafted all year and miss as a result

I posted this a few months back , guy from work was at an Essendon Circlejerk with Daniher, Sheedy, Hird, Watson etc. Terry Daniher stood up and pointed at Hird and said "He should be and will be the next coach of the EFC" - this was before they even sacked Rutten. Maybe around Rnd 21

If that’s the case then Rutten was a dead man walking.

We won coz we were so ****ing awesome. Now that we are only awesome it's not enough to overcome the bias of ump interpretations and rule changes. If we win again they will change the rules again and umpire us even more harshly. I honestly think they now decide on rule changes based on how much control it gives them over the outcome. Everything is grey. Look at the proposed changes to ARC as an example.

I can live with the financial equalisation to an extent and the draft equalisation rules (compo pick for B Ellis excluded) but the rule changes and umpire interpretations are banana republic levels of corruption.
