I don't know why Collingwood supporters did it on the weekend, but while Buddy is a legend, let's not act like he's a clean skin. Just like Plugger was a legend, but did dirty sh!t, same with Ablett Snr, if fans don't like them, who cares if they boo.

And whilst the pies supporters may be feral, and have a bad track record, this is not a racist thing, and the only way it turns to a racist thing is via the media.
Where was the outrage and club apologies to JHF this year? What about clubs that have booed Cotch during the years, usually after a soft MRO finding, where has all the outrage been for any white player that's been booed over the years? Bloody Stevie Milne copped it nearly every week, no outcry there.

But suddenly and indigenous player is booed, and the crowd are now all racists, give me a spell. You can't sanitize the game that much, and the more the AFL try to, the more crowds should voice their disapproval. Old mate from SEN up in Sydney is the only media person I have heard call out this tokenism bullsh!t.

He laughed at Collingwoods apology telling people not to boo.
He said every polly that ever shows up at sport is booed, where is the outcry there.

Booing may be a low form of interaction and it's not for everyone, but I also have no problem with people that want to boo.
There was outrage for JHF though.

Let's not have this snowball into a Goodes situation.

Booing is fine but to do it the whole game on a player that hasn't previously copped it, is cause for reflection.

Mate, we have boo'd Buddy for years. The Conca game was one such game. Collingwood wasn't a one off there.

I've booed him since he elbowed Rance in the throat, didn't stop him from doing it again though #thug

Nah that's crap. Cotch has never been consistently booed for an entire game for no reason. There has been plenty of outrage on JHF and again you can sort of understand at least a little why an idiot in the crowd might boo him at the moment

Also it isn't suddenly happening it has clear parallels to how it all started with Goodes (expect there are even less vague excuses for booing Buddy)

Politicians that get booed is number one not a constant, number two generally when they stand for something the crowd doesn't like and number three is because they get accused of using sport to push their political career

You give me one good reason that Buddy should be booed, he isn't any dirtier a player then any other key forward. Isn't even close to comparable to Plugger or Ablett Snr in terms of on field hits

It’s like they’ve learned nothing, all telling people not to boo does is cause a snowball effect of booing as campaigners think their basic right to boo at the footy is being infringed upon. It’s just what it is

No there wasn't! Hinkley questioned it like Longmire did in his press conference, and kane Cornes sooked about it. But thats it, the similarities stopped.

Where was the Club Apologies for JHF, where was the AFL coming out saying it was unacceptable, where was the media like Wankley condemning it (granted they spoke about it).

And Buddy has copped it before, plenty of times, maybe not from Collingwood, but it's not the first time it's happened.

Apart from them both being indigenous, what are the parallels?
What's different to Stevie Milne getting booed in just about every game.

And just about every time in every sport I watch, when a polly pops up on the big screen, they are nearly simultaneously booed. I don't think they actually care to be honest, but I've seen it with KRudd, Scomo, Albo, Chinaman Dan plus the rest all get booed.

This, 100% this.

If John Longmire said something like "they were booing BuD were they? Well good on them, I'm not sure why they would boo a champ of the game, won't do them much good though, Bud couldn't care less. Let the fans enjoy the footy how they want, and let the players play the game how they want, I'm sure he will be fine"

Then no issue, no outcry, no focus on it, and prob no one booing Buddy this week, jsut everyone thinking Pies fans are (still) w***ers!

To his credit, he did say he didn't notice it during the game, so it was prob a genuine question on his behalf.

That's exactly the parallel. You have a star indigenous player coming towards the end of their career and suddenly they start getting booed all game for no reason. The AFL did nothing when it started with Goodes until it was too late, if they made the same mistake again with Buddy it would be diabolical

A politician will have a viewpoint that a large amount of the crowd doesn't agree with hence they get booed

Buddy has done nothing, the booing is ridiculous in the context of that game

Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with booing buddy, and Collingwood fans suck.

But there was plenty that started the Goodes Booing, it didn't start out of nowhere. Whether it was right or wrong that's up to you, but it certainly went on for way too long. (Me personally, I don't think the Goodes saga was race driven, however I do concede that it allowed a very small % of people hide under sport to be racist).

Still doesn't tell me why nobody made a fuss for Stevie Milne?

I find the consistent booing of a player that hasn't done anything except be one of the greatest of all time *ing stupid... Pies did it to dusty a few weeks ago.

I get it if the player has it coming (like Stewart) but what has buddy done to deserve it?
Where did I say he did?

you realise this is a past Carlton player. and he's still trying to build his brand by doing funny/stupid sh!t on socials
I wouldn't know one spud from another

I haven't watched the Swans Pies game but judging from comments he didn't seem to do anything in the game to warrant getting booed. So why aren't the media calling it for what it is - Pies fans being racist. It's not as if anyone thinks they aren't.
