A lot of depth players the only real star we lost was Lids who was injury prone.
Freo lost guys like Cerra who were top 5 players with plenty of footy left and now losing their best small forward.

Definitely the second teams in the other states have struggled. Port won a flag and the others have been in the GF.
Having lived there for 6 months Perth/Freo pretty much the same city . I used to drive from mt Hawthorn to Freo a bit.
Perth is insular. I'd never heard of the eastern states until I spent time in Perth.

I notice RFC best 22 seems to be a change of 5 players each year. So North or Suns make big offers for Chol CJ. like Cerra to CFC , we can't retain everyone.

All those Fremantle boys were in their B22 but requested trades. Deledio and maybe B.Ellis are the only two I'd class in the same category. Vickery was traded, Griffith left for opportunities in the US and all the rest of the players mentioned couldn't get a game.
What a ****ing joke… what’s the point of trading draft picks for future years when their value could be anywhere from 10-15 picks difference by the time you get to use them.
Picks 2 and 3 to Norf + an assistance package. It costs every big club in the league money for this rabble to exist and on top of that we now have to watch them get their hands on more of the top quality young players. Waiting for a young player to take legal action against the AFL for ruining their career by sending them to shitholes like Norf. Should’ve happened with GC/GWS after they were oversupplied with youngsters which resulted in some having much shorter careers than would normally be expected.
Also, where’s our ****ing first round compo for ELLIS, first you took away the value of our pick in the draft we took him and then you shafted us when we let him go, check collingwoods books ya dogs!

I've said it before but imagine being one of the lands best kids for the upcoming draft and knowing you're no chance of playing finals for years while you're under 18's teammate who you know will be drafted in the teens is headed for a finals team and a better chance than you to play in them. There is no benefit in being the best kid in the draft unless you are landing at a finals club.
I'm amazed more haven't asked to be traded after 2 years once the novelty of being on an AFL list has worn off.

No, we traded pick 24 which we received from the Prestia trade + pick 60 for Caddy + Pick 53 (Graham)
The pick we got Caddy with was part of the Prestia trade.
Richmond gave Pick 6, 2017 2nd round pick for Prestia and pick 24(all these picks slid a bit.)
We then gave picks 24 and 62 to Geelong(they took Parfitt and Narkle) in return for Caddy and pick 56(we took Jack Graham.)
We did ok out of all that.
The Deledio deal was:
Deledio to GWS for a F1(ended up pick 15) and F3(ended up pick 54.)
We traded both those picks to Brisbane and they took Bailey and Payne. We got back picks 20(Coleman-Jones) and 25(Balta.)
We didn't come out of that one too shabbily either.
