If you have a look at the Richmond autopsy thread, you might notice a particular poster who complains about the umpires in at least a half dozen posts. It brings joy to my heart.

The Royal Commission thread is throbbing too. An occasional post of reason is quickly howled down by the headless.
Swines lost despite having free kick count in their favour, a huge 32-22. Way more than the 2016 Grand Final tally. Karma...

I loved it yesterday. Every time there was an umpire's whistle, lots of Y&B idiots around us lost their sh1t. And their moronic cheer squad were booing the most obvious free kicks. Even boo-ed JUH twice when lining up for goal, one when he'd actually taken a mark! Classy, really classy.
I loved the McComb and Naughton frees in particular, I thought one bloke near me was about to have his head explode.
Was the Naughton one for a push, or against the opponent in front for a block? I missed the umpire's call live.
Also the Hannan being legged and Martin elbowing Jones in the head when he marked it and kicked a goal missed ones were some of the many that were missed our way.
Catching a tram back to our car, Tiges supporters listing EVERY single incorrect decision - music to my ears.
Suffer in your jocks, you Neanderthals!

Not from the replay on the screen at the game, defender behind him didn't appear to make any contact.
I assume the McComb one was for high contact? I was too busy laughing at a free kick in front of call and the angst it caused to many of those around me to care about what it was for.

Yeah it was there.

McComb was for a high hit. Only 50/50 call

To their credit I had some very fair-minded Tigers supporters near me, and the McComb free kick, despite making up for the Hannan legging, was one of the worst decisions I've seen on a football field.

Yeah, not all the Tigers supporters were bad - but a few in our area, including a large bunch in front of us, were one-eyed in the extreme. You've got to accept umpires make mistakes (lots of mistakes!) and they go both ways. But this bunch had no perspective, and were going off tap in the end at clear-as-day decisions.

That's why I enjoyed the McComb one so much - the whole group lost their sh1t, and my kids said I was grinning like a Cheshire cat!

Not an oppo supporter, but an oppo player (also a former one of ours at that).
Anyone catch the R.McGhie on-ground interview before the game? I get he's a Richmond premiership player, but no acknowledgement at all that he played for both clubs? Seems we don't count by his comments anyway. I had a brief convo with him years ago through his brother Steve, he alluded then to still have a soft spot for us - seems that's now completely disappeared.
So when he missed the goals from inside the goalsquare as the finale to his interview, I reckon that was EJ's ghost breathing down his neck. I saw a bit of both McGhie's stints for us - on those games wouldn't rate him in the top 200+ players to have pulled on the jumper.
In hindsight, I hope our win shat on his day.

But I'm not bitter or anything!

From a Richmond supporter on the absolute howler of a miss when Hannan had someone clinging to his ankles for an eternity:

"We should have got the free for dropping ball. The umpire must of deemed it a legal tackle."

It’s actually true. If he deemed it a legal tackle (which it wasn’t) it had to be holding the ball.

Absolutely. Had time be one or the other. He was either legged, so free to Hannan. Or dropped it - free to Richmond.

Umpire: I've got NFI, um, ah, play on chaps.

Both sets of supporters: umpires have NFI!
(Both sets of supporters are correct.)

Second KPF at North would be just such an enticing offer, I’m amazed he resigned with us, where he obviously won’t be playing enough game time up forward and should bail out.
North have Comben as their 2nd KPF, they rate him

Freo supporter claiming Darcy should've been paid a free kick when he was bumped in the marking contest with Daniel. I can't stop laughing.
Pretty clear free kick to Darcy. Look it up.

Players may hold their ground in marking or ruck contests but it is illegal to block an opposition player's run at the ball. Use of the hands in the back to.
