"Well Young Jackson has now learned a valuable lesson what it’s like playing for our great club. You get no favours we have to earn everything the hard way. It’s us against them."

This pearler referring to the Jackson Archer ban.
They earned all those compo picks the hardway I bet.

That can't be real. It just can't be. 🤭

Don't forget that the general North supporter response to receiving said priority picks on not one but two occasions wasn't gratitude, it was "it's not fair we deserve more". Pathetic victims, always.

From the Archer suspension thread on main board

"He wasnt bending over standing up to pick up the ball. He dropped to his knees and slid into Archer's legs. There is a difference."

"He already had the footy and went to ground. If you've watched bulldogs games at any time over the past 10 years you'd see dropping the knees is a pretty common occurrence"

So Norf posters didn't notice Konstanty in the contest at all? He had a fair degree of influence on Cleary's position when Archer arrived. Archer was the THIRD player at the contest. Listening to them, they don't seem to be able to count past 2! 😄

Norfies never believe any of their players are at fault.

Not in their DNA.

Why quote un intelligent idiots. Where is Archer contesting the football. Answer, never

The way this has triggered the Norfies as the AFL’s proudest victims is beyond hilarious.

Cleary assaulted Archer’s legs:

It means that if you do dive in and take player’s legs out then that player whose legs were assaulted will be the one who's penalised.

Ginivan, Watson and Weightman are firming as the three likely Brownlow favourites now that the AFL has ratified diving as a legitimate means of milking free kicks.

The Tribunal would have suspended Lindsay Thomas for what Luke Cleary did, even though the Tribunal overturned Lindsay Thomas’ suspension when he broke Gary Rohan’s leg by sliding into Rohan (who was closer to the ball than Thomas):

Imagine if it was LT instead of Cleary. LT 3 weeks and roundly condemned by the AFL world.

The AFL promised Andrew Brayshaw’s mum they wouldn’t suspend Archer. In this analogy, Cleary, who had the ball, is Maynard, who didn’t and was sprinting at the player with the ball, and Archer, who didn’t have the ball and was sprinting at the player with the ball, is Brayshaw, who had the ball:

Brayshaw's mum personally ripped into McLachlan when Maynard got off. Gil promised her it would never happen again.
And here we are.

Just needed to think for a second about the reason they changed the rule for smothers after Maynard:

So how did Maynard get off? Why didn't he slow down before jumping into Brawshaw?

Your duty of care only commences after you’ve idiotically sprinted 25m at a contest where you’re never getting the ball and suddenly realise you’re about to flying spear through two other players and then doing the absolute minimum and still smashing into them dangerously is exercising your duty of care:

Agree, the fact that the AFL and tribunal accepted that Archer slowed his speed once he saw Cleary going to ground clearly indicated that he knew he had a duty of care and took action to minimise contact

He had 0.000003 seconds to make a decision

So AFL can you change the rules where players are allowed to take players legs out?

Some of them come soooo close to actually getting it, so close:

This is so weird. Am I reading this wrong or is this effectively the AFL legislating that if you're too far away from a contest and are no chance of reaching it before another player, you shouldn't look to contest it and should instead what ... Wait for your opponent to take possession and potentially dispose of it, thus putting your team at a disadvantage?

So AFLs issue isn't with what Archer did on impact, or even 5m from impact. It's that 10m from impact he was moving too fast.

What a joke.

Get with the times man, you can't run at a player with excessive speed to tackle because he might go to ground.

But also this Tribunal decision is part of the AFL’s anti-Norf agenda since they didn’t move to the Gold Coast:

They will never forgive us for staying in Melbourne

Ballsy call from Corey McKernan that Clarko needs to drop Harry Sheezel for being closer to the contest than Archer but not barrelling into everyone like a total moron:

Although one of them at least nails where their club is at:

Our coaches, players, performance, mentality, CEO, the board are absolute ****ing snowflakes ❄️ we are legit punching bags and not taken serious at all by the AFL nor any opposition teams

No exact quote but North board losing their collective minds that lobb is cleared. General consensus is that it's due to Lobb not being a North player and his father not being Glenn

So only North players with a father named Glenn can be suspended? Seems incredulous, but then it's the AFL and MRO, so it's actually a feasible theory IMO! 😀

Edit: it's a bit like if your name is Nick, you have a brother called Josh and a father called Peter, there's a clause in fine print that you will never be penalised for incorrect disposal, or it seems, deliberate out of bounds/no intent!
