Gee you called that wellAnyone think St Kilda or Brisbane could spring an upset today?
Actually very possible we end up with pick 2 or even pick 1. Lions play well and look like to upset Freo today and probably beat Blues next week.So I assume we are unlikely to get pick 1, 2 not completely out of the question. So Lukosius will no doubt go 1. Rankine sounds good to me.
We had approx 14k yesterday whereas GWS had allegedly 10K but there are reports it was more like 6k.
I say again if we were in the same on field position as GWS we’d have got conservatively 22k Minimum.
Lay off Inbreds.
We are here to stay.
Suck a Kransky if you don’t like it.
I don't want be that guy because I wasn't at the game but what proportion of the crowd where Pies supporters?
The AFL always tries to look after the Suns crowd numbers by fixturing well supported Victorian clubs during the school holidays, as Melbourne people love to get up to the Coast for a holiday with the family and see their team.
My theory is the AFL don't even attempt this with GWS as far less people want to plan a holiday around visiting Sydney, and specifically the Western part of Sydney.
I don’t think it matters how many were Suns supporters and what proportion are Pies.
My point is that if we were performing as well as GWS and were a Finals and Premiership threat our crowd goes from 14k to minimum 22k with locals jumping on the bandwagon.
By the way I don’t go in for this people flying up here stuff. I reckon the vast majority (at least 80%) of the Black and White Vermin at the game are people that live here.
I've got a family of 4 that sit next to me in the members section that for the past 3 years would always wear crows gear but this year it looks like they have ditched the crows and all wear Suns gear now. There were a lot of Collingwood supporters with suns lanyards on. So members in some way. Definitely. Absolutely disgusts me. Im with bodsy on this. If you live here support your local side 1st.
By this logic though, we should have no interstate supporters. People will start putting us as their first team when we start having success. Can't just expect people who for many years supported another team to just drop them for the suns, just as i'm sure we'd be disappointed in the future for people to just drop us and support another teamThere were a lot of Collingwood supporters with suns lanyards on. Replying to my own comment for posterity. Weagles have lost 3 in a row! This could become lay down Misere! For non-500 players, that means they could lose out on their entire season!! Current favourite teams = Suns and whoever is playing West Coast next week!!!View attachment 513716

West Coast are 10 wins and 2 losses (both losses against Sydney)
6 of their wins have been in Perth - 3 against Top 8 sides
3 wins in Melbourne came against the Blues, Bulldogs and Hawks - no Top 8 sides
1 wins against GWS at Shitless Stadium in front of 9K
The run home for them isn't a cakewalk
- next up is Essendon in Perth, which is a must-win for the Bombers
- 2 trips to Adelaide
- Collingwood at the MCG
- 2nd Western Derby
- other Perth opponents are GWS, WB, and the Demons
- Final game in Bris Vegas
In 2017, West Coast had a very poor run home and only made the top 8 because the Demons were too pea-hearted to claim their own spot in the finals. The Eagles could not win away from home and their finals form looked to be on the back of the retiring players.
Last year, Fremantle put together 6 wins by Round 9 after losing their first 2, then only managed 2 wins for the rest of the year. The year before that, North Melbourne started the season 10 and 1, just like this year's Eagles, then lost 9 out of 11 games and bowed out of the finals in their only game.
So, while the best case scenario for West Coast remains a Top 4 spot, their worst case scenario is a horror show.
20-2 - Nobody has finished this high since the Collingwood in 2011
19-3 - Only 8 teams have finished this high in the past 30 seasons
18-4 - Only 14 teams have finished this high in the past 30 seasons
17-5 - Top 4 finish
16-6 - Likely Top 4 finish
15-7 - Top 8 finish, home advantage
14-8 - Top 8 finish, home advantage
13-9 - Top 8 finish, away
12-10 - possible Top 8 finish, away
11-11 - 9th to 12th finish
10-12 - possible bottom 6
Even given this breakdown, it is still advantage Eagles as far as the draft pick swap is concerned. There is a slight chance they lose out, which takes the Draft Pick into Top 5 territory. All this analysis is moot though, because it is widely acknowledged that Draft picks 5 to 15 are pretty much at the same talent level. Our best hopes are to see the Eagles fall short of a 16 win finish and either exit Finals in the first or second week of finals or not make it at all. Literally a 50/50 proposition of us getting a Top 10 Draft pick, which aren't bad odds.
At this stage, Bailey Scott has put in 2 best on ground performances for the Allies in a win against Vic Country and 2 point loss against Vic Metro. Watch for the Melbourne Media to start inflating his draft stocks. This pick might end up being the one that needs to be used to move up and get him. If it isn't, then it represents the second 1st round pick before Scott is taken with a combination of later picks.

Agreed i escaped to there at half time hoping to have some space from the ferals but found myself surrounded by pies fans. It was good though to see a few ferals upset they couldnt get into buy a beer and had to walk to the next bar. Finally found some good beer aswell (1st time at the members bar to buy beer) gotta love full strength craft beer.It really pissed me off last night every time I walked into the members bar to get a beer seeing more than half the people in there in their Collingwood gear wearing Suns membership lanyard things! If your a suns member start getting rusted on and supporting us 100% all the time not only when it suits.

Not as weird as cheering for the Bombers and Crows, but, ah, yes, I will still feel weird cheering for Greater Western Shit-kneeGo GWs...shudder... never thought I'd say that

SUNS moonlights with their cheersquad. I am hoping for a Swans vs GWS Grand Final just to piss off Victorians.I used to hate them because they were our obvious rivals in the early days BUT in the Suns Death Thread on the main board a number of their fans have been great allies for us.
And before I forget, fair play to the Titans yesterday. Score didn't look to reflect the game, but all I watched were highlights. If Robbie had've gone to the Titans all those years ago I'd have been tempted to jump ship, but I'm glad I stayed the course. Got to set an example for young Miss 6er. She's got her Tigers blankie and Suns scarf, although once when she threatened to go for Collingwood I told her I'd take her back to the hospital I got her from and get a trade-in.I used to hate them because they were our obvious rivals in the early days BUT in the Suns Death Thread on the main board a number of their fans have been great allies for us.
