You're probably aware, but some others might not be, but West Coasts win % at Adelaide oval is
a) the highest of any AFL side (85.71%)
b) the same as their win percentage at Optus (1 loss in 7 games).
So as a West Coast fan, although those two games are away i wouldn't rate either as in our hardest games to come for the rest of the season. (would rate Pies at MCG and Roos in Tassie #1 and #2 hardest). Of course long-term the win rate there has to come down, so maybe West Coast will go 1 & 1 in adelaide.

Also, unrelated, I note that 17er has stopped saying WCE have no depth and when player x or y go down they'll be found out
Incidentally, your last bit could be said for North Melbourne. They look less dangerous without Waite on the park (especially with Ben Brown being mauled by opposition defenders without Waite to stretch opposition structures and create space). The Roos need Waite and Brown to be a genuine threat, otherwise I can see West Coast hurting them badly on the rebound.

Also, West Coast doesn't have a bad record in Tasmania against North Melbourne.

They've only played each other twice there, and the first time (2012) West Coast won by 2 points, and the second time (2015) North Melbourne won by 10 points.

Anyway, I have to agree that Adelaide aren't looking too dangerous at the moment, although it's still a bit of a 'danger game' with quite a number of genuine Top 22 players returning from injury (edit: ironically, I just read that Eddie Betts did his hamstring - they just can't catch a break - that's pretty close to the final nail in the coffin, IMO). The Crows looked pretty dangerous before succumbing to all their injuries (they absolutely ravaged Richmond at Adelaide Oval earlier in the year), so it's definitely a game that shouldn't be written off - though confidence may play a part and the Crows may be too emotionally spent to give much of a yelp for the remainder of the year, saving their energy for next year. It's the hardest game to read, honestly.

I think West Coast's potentially toughest games will be against Adelaide (at Adelaide Oval) (edit: maybe not, Eddie's done his hamstring), Collingwood (at the MCG), North Melbourne (at Blundstone), the Fremantle Dockers (Optus Stadium), and Port Adelaide (at Adelaide Oval). I think Port Adelaide will be their greatest opponent of that lot. In regard to Fremantle, they're far too talented on the field to be playing as badly as they are - it's a little infuriating, but hopefully they'll bring their A-game.

You just can't go passed drafting Vic country boys they live and breathe football and are so bloody loyal

Absolutely. To be fair, West Coast are missing three important players (Kennedy, Darling, and Barrass), but credit to the Bombers for capitalising on West Coast's weakened state.

edit: already thought Devon Smith was a gun, but tempted to say he's Essendon's best player this season.

Stuff being fair
I don’t want to hear “to be fair”
Nobody says “to be fair the Suns have injuries” or “the Suns are a young club” when we get hammered
All they say is “shut up shop and move them to Tasmania”
Hate the Needles plenty but sucked in WCE
They are up themselves

That's a pretty fair response, too. :p

In saying that, though; there's been a few West Coast (and Adelaide supporters) I've noticed digging their boots into us whenever we face setbacks. It's pretty annoying, honestly - especially when in one breath they call us a plastic franchise (despite averaging around 20,000 people per game), and then complaining about the game being Victoria-centric in the next breath.

The Eagles have just proven that without Darling and Kennedy they can be beaten quite easily as they don't have any tall targets up forward capable of stepping up in their absence.

The bombers blitzed them through the middle of the ground for the majority of the game.

Very poor performance for a 'contender' this season. Especially at home.

Bombers missing good players too, Daniher, Paris, Zaharakis. GC missed every game at least 4 best 22, last 3 games 6-9 best 22 and press gives no shit.

Shuey probably played his worst game for the season, too. West Coast's midfield had no answers and they kept bombing it into their Forward 50 (obviously, missing Kennedy and Darling). It probably didn't help that Barrass was also injured, so moving Jeremy McGovern up forward was a more risky option.

Most surprising for me was Bellchambers against Naitanui. In my eyes he won the ruck contest.

How many times have we seen North do this ?
If they fail again the AFL should just move them to Tasmania yeah ?

The DeGoey story says that Collingwood have no cap space. Lynchy must be playing for free...
Collingwood have about 20 odd players coming off contract, so they have mega list space. Carlton are in the same boat, but won't be resigning nearly as many players. Stories will come out of Melbourne about Collingwood trade targets every day from here until October, but the reality is that the Pies put their wangs in every glory hole they find and they'll be signing and spending and trading until they're done and nobody will predict their final position until the deals are done. Carlton will have significantly more trouble attracting players and would do best to target guys who are known boyhood supporters. Tom Lynch comes from a Collingwood family, which is why I can't see him going anywhere else, however, the Pies have a lot of cap and contract slicing and dicing before they can even make an offer to us worth considering let alone to him. I also believe $1.5 Million is waaaayyyy over the top and if anybody is dumb enough to offer it we shouldn't match it.

Collingwood have nothing worth trading for as all there A graders won’t come north. We would be better matching and getting pick 3-4 as compo which guarantees us a top line mid like smith or Walsh in the draft than a handful of C-D graders and a few later picks

Smith is my preference any day of the week. Rankine is better value than either of the Kings and Thomas is untouchable, so Smith represents best value and seems tailor-made for our needs.
As far as Collingwood players and willingness to move, everybody has a price. A player like Sidebottom would take better money and a decent length contract. A player like Tom Phillips would be offered tonnes more money and Collingwood would be happy to have turned a 4th round Draft pick into 2nd round value.
